Mine Field Trip
Four Tok students had the opportunity to visit the Mining and Petroleum Training Service facility outside of Delta Junction where they received a tour of the facility and a brief overview of the different job opportunities that can come out of this training program. During the tour, students explored an underground simulator, as well as had the opportunity to ride in a rock truck and a dump truck.
The training facility offers multiple two week training sessions throughout the year. See the flyer for more information.

Career Fair for High School Students
Hello Everyone,
I know there has been a lot of interest and questions about the Career Fair this year and I wanted to let you all know that it is going to be held at Tok School's gym on April 25th. Career Presentations will be between 1050am-1140am. From 1140am-1230pm is Fair booth prep and lunch. The Fair will be between 1230pm and 2pm and the prizes will be distributed right after. Students will be provided lunch and snacks by the Tok School cafeteria and Fast Eddy's will provide lunch for vendors and school staff. The Fair will not be open to the community and will be only for AGSD high school students and attending staff. I am currently finalizing some minor details of the Fair, it looks like we are going to have a sizable amount of vendors this year. If you have any questions, my contact information is below.

Lifeline and 988
988 is now the three-digit dialing code that routes callers to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (or 988 Lifeline). When people call, text, or chat with the 988 Lifeline, they are connected to trained crisis counselors who are part of the existing 988 Lifeline network. Callers now also have the option of following a “press 3” prompt to be connected to a crisis counselor specifically trained in supporting LGBTQI+ callers.
