Happy New Year! 🎉 We hope you all enjoyed a restful and refreshing winter break. We are excited to begin a new semester full of music-making and growth!
This past Saturday, 10 of our singers participated in the TMEA All-State Area Auditions. We are incredibly proud of every singer who competed and represented our program and community with excellence and pride. Please join us in congratulating our 2026 TMEA All-State Choir members—what an outstanding achievement!
Important Location Update:
All choir rehearsals will now take place in the NEW CHOIR ROOM, located in the new Fine Arts Facility past the football field. Please plan accordingly.
We will continue working on our solo projects as we prepare for upcoming performances 🎤✨. A reminder that in-class solo recitals will begin the week of January 20th. This will be a summative grade, so please be sure to practice, have your piece memorized, and be performance-ready.
Weekly SRFs will begin this week. Please remember to submit your quizzes in Schoology.
The UIL Solo Contest will take place on Saturday, January 24th 🗓️🎵. Please be sure to review the Solo Contest schedule below for your assigned times and details.
CISD Tenor-Bass Sectionals are scheduled for next week. Please refer to the Week at a Glance for the rehearsal schedule. We will also begin after-school UIL rehearsals this week. Please mark your calendars—missing rehearsals or not being prepared with materials may result in losing eligibility to perform and compete at UIL.
January will be filled with important rehearsals and preparation, so please read the daily agenda carefully to stay informed and on track 📖✅.
