β Burnside Elementary π
Note from the Principal
Dear Burnside Families,
As we enter the final two months of the school year and "testing season", we are incredibly proud of our students' growth and hard work. Our teachers and support staff have worked tirelessly to prepare students and we are looking forward to the students showing what they know!
Please ensure your child gets plenty of rest, eats a healthy breakfast, and arrives at school on time. Letβs encourage them to do their best!"
Thank you for your continued support!
Please call with any questions or concerns!
Best regards,
Jennifer Grove

Parent Input Into Class Placement
Each year, we take steps to thoughtfully place elementary students into classrooms for the upcoming school year. Parent input is one of the many important components to effective class placement. The parent input process is not intended to offer the opportunity to request a specific teacher, rather an opportunity to express perspective on unique needs of individual children. Consideration will focus on the student need identified and not specific teacher requests.
Please return the below form to Burnside by May 22, 2026 if you have information you would like considered as we develop the class lists.
Bus Stop & Walk -- April 29, May 6, & May 13
Weβre excited the Bus Stop and Walk event is starting again Wednesday, April 29th and will continue for three Wednesdays until May 13th (weather permitting). The Bus Stop and Walk (BSW) program takes Safe Routes to School to another level by ensuring that every student is provided the opportunity to be active before school. During this event, students will be dropped off in front of the school where they will be met with a staff member, among other volunteers, who will lead them around the school on a designated path, allowing them to walk with the goal of improving physical and mental health and increasing academic performance. We look forward to seeing you all there!
