District 103
The Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103 Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Emily Weece to fill the Board vacancy created by the departure of Board member Joy Anes, who resigned in September.
Emily brings with her a collaborative mindset and a commitment to listening to students, families, and staff.
Emily began her career in special education, working as a life skills teacher and behavior therapist supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities. She later transitioned into human resources and people operations, where her experience includes policy development, compliance, project management, and budget oversight. She has also supported the D103 community through the PTO Parent Education Committee and as a school volunteer.
“We’re lucky to live in a district with such a strong track record, and I see every day how much our teachers and staff pour into our kids,” Mrs. Weece shared. “I’d love the chance to help support that work and make sure it continues long into the future.”
The Board also extends its sincere appreciation to Joy Anes for her dedicated service to District 103.
