IBC Quarterly Executive Luncheon Featuring Katie Linendoll
Students from John A. Rowland High School attended the IBC Quarterly Executive Luncheon on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Pacific Palms Resort in the City of Industry. Wan Ling Lin, Noelani Mendoza, Yessenia Martinez, and Alexandra Montoya proudly represented the school at this professional event.
The guest speaker was Katie Linendoll, an Emmy Award-winning television personality, writer, and technology expert. She is known for her work in media and technology and has appeared on The TODAY Show, The Weather Channel, CBS Sports Radio, SiriusXM, and The Rachael Ray Show.
Her presentation, “Innovations in Tech & Secrets to Success,” focused on emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, robotics, creativity, adaptability, and resilience. Throughout the presentation, students were engaged, listened attentively, participated in activities, and asked thoughtful questions that connected technology to future careers and real-world opportunities.
The luncheon provided students with a valuable professional learning experience. They had the opportunity to hear from an industry leader, observe business networking in action, and learn how innovation is shaping the future of work. The experience also encouraged students to reflect on their personal goals, the importance of communication, and the value of curiosity in a rapidly changing world.
John A. Rowland High School commends Wan Ling Lin, Noelani Mendoza, Yessenia Martinez, and Alexandra Montoya for representing the school with professionalism and enthusiasm. Opportunities like this help build student confidence, expand career awareness, and connect classroom learning to real-world business and technology experiences.

Class of 2026 Transcripts
Seniors, it’s that time of year to begin ordering your final transcripts. When creating your account in Parchment https://www.rowlandhs.org/apps/pages/transcriptrequests, be sure to use a personal email address, as your school email will be deactivated in July. Remember to select “hold for grades” to ensure your transcripts include final marks. All transcript requests will be processed on June 12th after final grades have been posted.
Dear Parents and Students,
Please be advised that students who purchase food from outside vendors will not be permitted to pick up their orders until the beginning of nutrition break and/or lunch time.
Recently, we have experienced an increase in students leaving class during instructional time to retrieve food orders, which disrupts the learning environment and instructional process. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a focused and safe campus during class hours.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend!
