GMS Information and Announcements
From the Principal's Desk
GMS Family,
As we wrap up these final three days of school before Christmas break, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude and warmest wishes to all our GMS families.
This holiday season is a time to slow down, connect, and cherish moments with loved ones. We hope each of you has the opportunity to enjoy some much-deserved family time, create those priceless memories, and celebrate the joys of the season.
Looking ahead to 2025, we are filled with excitement for what’s to come for our GMS family. Together, we will continue to grow, achieve, and celebrate the incredible things that make our school community so special.
From all of us at Greeneville Middle School, have a safe, restful, and joyful Christmas break. We can’t wait to see you in the new year!

GMS Staff Shout Outs
Check out how GMS staff make GMS a great place for students!
Edie Debord
Kindness
Edie has gone above and beyond to help laminate materials for my RTI class! She is a sweetheart that goes above and beyond to support teachers and students.
Chris Reid
Being Proactive
Chris is always willing to help out and go above and beyond for our staff and students
Alex Standridge
Putting First Things First
Alex along with Lisa Loewenkamp covered my DT Homeroom while I was at a conference on Wednesday. The people in room #5 are supportive of one another. Alex does a great job being our SLP and helping the sped teachers with paperwork, collaboration, and students.
Lisa Loewenkamp
Putting First Things First
Lisa along with Alex Standridge covered my DT Homeroom while I was at a conference on Wednesday. The people in room #5 are supportive of one another. Lisa is a wonderful IT leader at GMS. She is a great sounding board and gives great techno advice.
Teresa Gibson
Putting First Things First
Teresa is a wonderful sped assistant as well as the first to help sub for math teachers! While subbing and running that DT Homeroom class, she also put a sign on room #5 door for my DT Homeroom class to come to her as well. She is a hard worker; Teresa takes on projects and jobs without being asked. She works in the classrooms with students with IEPs, 504 Plans, and regular education students. She helps teachers, students, and anyone who needs help.
Jennifer Schroeck
Thinking Win-Win
Jennifer does a wonderful job reaching her students with fun and engaging hands-on activities. She also works hard to help staff members with their Canvas issues and is always willing to test out new technology items for me. We all win because her work inspires her students in their future endeavors. I can speak to that personally, as both of my adult sons had her as a teacher while they were at GMS and make use of much of what they learned in her class.
Do You Have A GMS Shout-Out to Share?
