They are the "quiet heroes" of our school, turning challenges into triumphs every single day. We are so incredibly lucky to have such a compassionate and hardworking team. Please join us in sharing a huge THANK YOU to our paras for their endless patience, expertise, and heart!

SPRING BREAK BINGO SPRING BREAK BINGO

Spring break is a great time to relax and spend some time doing fun things, but sneaking in a little bit of literacy each day is a great way to make sure everything your student has learned stays in their brain!

These Spring Break Bingo cards are customized by grade level to include various reading and math literacy activities to bust boredom and keep learning fun while we're away from school. Each student is receiving a hard copy Bingo card in their folder this week, but you can also click on the images below to print your own.

Bingo cards may be turned in Monday, 4/13 - Wednesday, 4/15.

We are pleased to share that your child's Spring progress report is now available in the Parent Portal. Please note that this report card represents a mid-semester snapshot of your child's academic progress and does not reflect final grades. Teachers will continue to update grades and provide feedback throughout the remainder of the year as learning continues.

We encourage you to review the report card with your child, celebrate their accomplishments, and discuss any areas where additional support may be helpful. Ongoing communication among families, students, and teachers is an important part of supporting student success.

If you have questions or concerns about your child's progress, please don't hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or school administration. We are committed to partnering with you to support your child's growth and learning. Directions for accessing grades in the Parent Portal are on page 24 of the Grading and Reporting Handbook.

Illustrator AG Ford will be visiting Oakhurst students on Monday, May 4th!

When powerful winds knock over electric lines and start a dangerous fire, there's a big job to do. Thankfully, help is on the way! Fire Engine, Foam Truck, Water Tender, and the rest of the mighty fire crew join forces with the classic Construction Site friends to save the day. Working through the night, they put out the flames, clean up the mess, and focus on what matters most—keeping everyone safe.

Sherri Duskey Rinker’s lively, rhyming text and AG Ford’s vibrant illustrations bring this team of heroic firefighters to life. Little construction fans will love watching trucks, both familiar and new, work together as a team to save the construction site.

Hard copy book order forms are coming home in your student's communication folder. Orders are due WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15th, which is right after spring break - don't delay!
