WELCOME BACK BPS LIBRARIES!
Guide to Borrowing
Welcome back to a new year in the BPS Libraries! Here are basic guidelines to ensure all students have a joyful library experience!
- Students may take books out from their school libraries to enjoy and share at home. Find a cozy reading spot to enjoy your book!
- Please be responsible with your library books. Please keep books safe from harm (no food, no pets, no rain!). Store your book in a special "library book spot."
- Return your book on its designated day. This allows the next student waiting for that title to check it out!
- The library is a shared school resource. If books are not returned to the library, the expectation is they will be replaced or paid for. Unreturned library books will be charged to students' MySchoolBucks accounts. Head here to create a MySchoolBucks account and review your library status.
SUMMER READING SUCCESS
Many congratulations to every student who participated in the BPS Summer Reading program! Your hard work and commitment to continuing your reading journey through the summer months is commendable.
Student rewards and the success of our Summer Reading program wouldn't be possible without the generous commitment of our community partners to reading achievement.
The Barnstable Public Schools Libraries extend a sincere and grateful thank you to:
The Cobb Fund: For providing the beautiful reading medals!
Steve & Sue’s Par-Tee Freeze: For the generous cone donations!
We are extremely grateful for your commitment to honoring the reading achievements of Barnstable students and supporting literacy across our community. Thank you for helping us celebrate success!
