What does a CASA volunteer actually do?
CASA volunteers build a trusting relationship with the child they advocate for through regular contact, including at least one visit each month. They also stay connected with parents, caregivers, caseworkers, teachers, and other professionals involved in the child’s life. By gathering information from these important people, attending court hearings, and preparing reports and recommendations, CASA volunteers help ensure the judge has a clear picture of the child’s needs and best interests.
