It's all blue skies in Blue Rapids

The school year is off to a GREAT start at Blue Rapids Elementary. The teachers, staff and I were so excited to see the students back in the building. Here are a few announcements from the Blue Rapids building.

  • Be sure to have money on your student's lunch account if they are going to eat hot lunch at school.
  • Safety of students is our top priority. Pick up and drop off time can be hectic, be sure that students use sidewalks and crosswalks during this busy time.
  • Make sure that you sign up for your student's class on Rooms This is the teacher's primary way of communicating with parents. If you are having trouble getting on one issue we discovered was parents cannot have the same email address or phone number listed. Each Parent/guardian needs to specify a unique email address and phone number.
  • If your child has to miss school for some reason, be sure to call your student in to the office excused first thing in the morning (785-363-7693).

Thank you parents for your support and all you have done to help make the start of this school year a success. As always if you need anything do not hesitate to contact me, my door is always open.

Mr. Staples
