A note from the Principal's desk

Dear Families,

Every term is a busy one, and Term 3 has been no exception. I’m sure our students, like our teachers, will be ready for a well-deserved rest. I would like to sincerely thank Mr Richards for stepping in for me while I was in another position at the start of Term 3—he did a fantastic job. I’d also like to extend my gratitude to everyone who stepped up throughout the term to cover leave, including Mr Cai and Mr Fengaros in executive roles, as well as the many teachers who covered different classes and responsibilities.

Kindy 2026

We already have 72 applications for Kindergarten next year, so please ensure you enrol as soon as possible. This helps us determine the number of classes we will have in 2026. Kindergarten transition will start very soon and all students must be enroled before they can attend. These sessions provide a wonderful opportunity for families to learn about what happens when your child begins school and how we can work together to ensure a smooth transition.

2026 Enrolments

If you are moving out of the area and plan to enrol your children in another school next year, please notify us as soon as possible. This information is important as it impacts our class planning, which begins early in Term 4. The earlier we know, the better we can prepare.

Book Week 2025

Book Week at CPPS was a fantastic success, filled with fun, creativity, and a love of reading. Students and teachers alike enjoyed the week’s events. We kicked off with our much-loved Book Character Dress-Up Day and K–2 Parade, where students proudly showcased their costumes. On Wednesday, the library hosted its very first Kinder Plushie Sleepover. The plushies had a wonderful time reading, playing games, making friends, and even getting up to a little mischief!

Thursday was extra special with a visit from author Felice Arena. He entertained us with stories, taught us some Italian pasta words, and even got everyone dancing the hilarious “cheese dance.” To round off the week, our Years 3–6 students who completed the Premier’s Reading Challenge were treated to a special movie reward in the hall.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make Book Week so memorable. Remember to keep promoting the joy of reading at home!

Fun at the Fair

This year’s fair was another huge success, featuring many games and activities designed by students. The event raised $5,500, which will go towards the Year 6 farewell and other Stage 3 activities that happen throughout the year. Thank you for your continued support of this annual event.

Shark Tank and Fundraising

Across the school, we run various clubs each week during class time to give students the opportunity to explore their interests and develop their potential. Mr Cai runs Shark Tank, where students develop business ideas aimed at making a profit. This year, they raised $673.55, which will be donated to Stewart House, along with the $331 raised on our Dress as a Teacher Day. Well done to all our young entrepreneurs!

We hope you all have a restful break and come back refreshed and ready for the busyness of Term 4!

Kind regards,
Mrs Websdale and the CPPS staff
