We would like to welcome you to take a look back at 50 years of Parkview!

This year we are excited to celebrate Parkview's 50th Anniversary. Over the school year, you may notice our clubs, athletics and activities all finding a way to join in the celebration. They may have alumni at their games, guest conductors at their concerts or 50th themed events.

In this section we will feature images and facts about Parkview's first 50 years!

Parkview High School 2025-2026 Celebrating 50 Years
zoom_out_map Show in original size
At Parkview, we have been fortunate to have some of the finest teachers and support staff throughout the years. Our faculty comes from all corners of the globe, including student teachers, clerks, cafeteria workers, custodians, administrators, and everyone in between. As our student population has expanded, so too has our staff. In the 1976-77 school year, we had around 97 employees, and by the 2025-26 school year, we are proud to have nearly 280 employees on campus each day. It truly takes a village to educate our community, and we are immensely proud of ours.

Excuse Note Reminders

Parents, we appreciate your patience as the county shifts how excuse notes are turned in this year. We have just a few quick tips to make this process continue to be successful.

You must fill in one of the two sections:

  • Add a doctor's note or document
  • Write in your excuse in the "Note" box.
  • Excuse notes can't be reported until 24 hours after the absence.
Attendance office screen shot of where you enter attendance notes on ParentVUE app. Student name and class year at the top. Below it is written one of these portions must be filled out with arrows pointing to the note section and where you can click to upload an excuse note.
zoom_out_map Show in original size

Student Check-ins/Checkouts:

  • Students arriving late must enter through the main front entrance. They should check in using the tablets and go directly to class.

  • All checkouts* must happen before 1:30 PM. No exceptions. This allows us to prepare for dismissal, thank you for your support.

  • If you know ahead of time your student needs to leave early, you may do the following:

    • Send a written note with student in the morning. Note must be received by the Attendance Office before 7:15 AM.

    • The note must include: Student’s first and last name, date and time of checkout, and parent phone number.

    • The attendance clerk will provide a pass to the student to leave at the designated time without the parent needing to come inside. The students can then checkout at the Attendance Office and meet their parents/guardian outside at the time listed.

    • Attendance clerks will verify all notes before releasing students. If they cannot reach a parent, the student will not be allowed to check out.

  • We encourage families to regularly check student attendance in ParentVue.

*Please remember, there are no checkouts during testing blocks
