Dear Families,
We are looking forward to this week’s “Random Acts of Kindness Week” celebration! Students can dress in the colors assigned for each day to “Color the World with Kindness”. No need to make any new purchases, use what you have at home to add some color to our days! Colors are included here: Kindness Week. Tuesday we will celebrate love and friendship for Valentines Day - always a highlight in elementary school! Students are welcome to bring in cards for their classmates, but just a friendly reminder that they may not give out food or candy. Thank you for your help with this!
We are still in need of one planetarium volunteer for Ms. Keefe’s inflatable planetarium in the Gym. If you are able to volunteer this Thursday, February 16th from 9:30-12:30 (3F, 5C, 4L) it would be greatly appreciated! You can sign up here: Planetarium Sign Up Thank you to all who have volunteered - we are so excited for our students to take part in this awesome experience!
We had a blast celebrating the 100th day of school for Grades 1-5! Wessagusset Elementary became Wessagusset Retirement Home, as many students came to school as their 100 year old selves...they made 100 look great!
Tuesday, February 14th is a half-day with dismissal at 11:50 am.
This week our Literacy Coach, Mrs. Fitzpatrick facilitated ELA Data Meetings at Wessagusset. This is an important time for us to review our students’ reading progress and make adjustments to our instruction. We are very pleased with all of the progress our students have made so far this year, and are excited to target our instruction to continue this progress. We know Wess students will continue to soar!
The next SEPAC meeting will be held virtually on Tuesday, February 28th at 7:00. Here is the link: SEPAC meeting
