Parent - Week of 2/3
Week of February 3
February is here, and with it comes exciting preparations for seventh grade scheduling, cozy layers to stay warm, and gentle reminders not to play in the snow while waiting for afternoon buses! As we dive deeper into learning this month, we’re so proud of how our students continue to grow academically and socially. Thank you for your ongoing support in keeping our middle schoolers focused, warm, and ready for success!
In partnership,
Tera Thomas
It's time to schedule for SEVENTH GRADE!
It is time for students to work with their families and fill out the 7th grade course registration form at home to schedule classes for 2025-2026.
The 7th grade course registration form can be found in your child's team's google classroom, which will be posted on January 28. All course registration forms are due on Monday, February 3rd. Please ensure that you and your child complete this together before then. The form should be filled out using your child's school email address. If a student would like to change their form before the due date, the student has the option to edit their original form using the same email address that they did when they originally filled out the form. Please do not use a second email to create a new form submission.
To learn more about scheduling, please view the linked presentation. This is the same presentation that Mrs. Marozsan presented to the students. If you would like to learn more about what each class entails, you can view our most recent program of studies here: SMS Program of Studies 2024-2025. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the 6th grade (and rising 7th grade) school counselor, Mrs. Marozsan! Her email is amarozsan@scsmustangs.org. Thank you!

As Seen in Sixth Grade
The sixth grade Captains learning about Ancient India were treated to an unforgettable experience when Anvi, one of their classmates, performed a Bharatnatyam dance in the middle school auditorium. This traditional Indian dance, rich in history, and cultural significance, brought the lesson to life in a beautiful and meaningful way. Anvi's performance not only highlighted the vibrant culture of India but also emphasized the importance of being a global citizen, appreciating and celebrating the traditions of others. Watching her share her talent with her pod was a powerful reminder of how we can connect classroom learning to real-world experiences. What a wonderful way to make history come alive!
