BRAHMA BRIEFING
DIAMOND BAR HIGH SCHOOL
Monthly Awareness and Heritage Observances
Month of September
September is recognized as Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness, encourage meaningful conversations, and remind one another that no one has to face difficult moments alone. It is an opportunity to look out for those around us, listen without judgment, and connect people with support when they need it.
Being Brahma Branded means caring for one another, noticing when someone may be struggling, and having the courage to reach out and ask, “Are you okay?” Let’s continue to build a school community where every Brahma knows they belong, they matter, and they are never alone.
Month of September
September is recognized as National African Immigrant Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the rich cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions of African immigrants and their families. It is an opportunity to recognize the diverse experiences and stories that have shaped communities across the United States and to honor the resilience, achievements, and cultural traditions of African immigrants.
Being Brahma Branded means celebrating the diverse backgrounds and experiences that make our community stronger. This month, let’s recognize the many cultures, languages, traditions, and contributions of African immigrant families and celebrate the unique stories that help make the Brahma Family Dynamic, Balanced, Honorable, and Scholastic.
September 15 - October 15
National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 through October 15 and is a time to recognize and celebrate the vibrant cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. It is a chance to learn from the stories of generations past, celebrate the accomplishments of those shaping our world today, and appreciate the many traditions and perspectives that enrich our communities.
Being Brahma Branded means embracing our differences, honoring our heritage, and creating a community where every student feels seen and valued. This month, let’s celebrate the culture, traditions, and contributions of our Hispanic and Latino Brahmas and the many ways they help make our school community stronger.

Students are expected to keep personal electronic signaling devices, including cell phones, smartwatches, and other electronic devices, turned off and stored away during each class period. For more information please see our student handbook.
Mandatory E-Bike and E-Scooter Safety Training
Students who plan to ride an e-bike or e-scooter to or from school must complete the online e-bike and e-scooter safety and policy training. This training ensures students understand traffic laws, safety expectations, and the specific regulations related to e-bike and e-scooter use. The course covers key topics such as traffic laws and local ordinances, safe operation of e-bikes and e-scooters, and licensing and age requirements.
To register for the e-bike and e-scooter safety training, go to https://www.pedalace.com/wvusd and complete the self-enrollment process. You will need to provide your name, student ID number, and student WVUSD email address. After registering, you will receive instructions to begin the online training. When finished, PedalAce will send a completion certificate along with instructions for obtaining the WVUSD sticker for the student’s e-bike or e-scooter.
Students must place the WVUSD sticker on the handlebars of their e-bike or e-scooter and must wear a helmet while riding. E-bikes and e-scooters without the WVUSD completion sticker will not be permitted on campus.
