Boys Tennis Starts Season Strong
The Clio Boys Tennis team is off to a strong start, taking first place at the Lapeer Quad and following it up with a runner-up finish at the Sandusky Quad.
At Lapeer, the Mustangs faced Lapeer, Kearsley, and Davison and came away with 17 match wins out of a possible 24 to claim the team title. Clio crowned four individual flight champions:
- #1 Singles – Parker Marcus
- #4 Singles – Mason Morgan
- #1 Doubles – Jack Barber / Drew Williams
- #4 Doubles – Blake Cronkright / Gavin Larose
At the Sandusky Quad, Clio finished second in a four-team field that also included Yale and Croswell-Lexington, falling just four points shy of host Sandusky. Three Mustang flights brought home wins:
- #4 Singles – Mason Morgan
- #3 Doubles – Aiden MacDougall / Brady Back
- #4 Doubles – Blake Conkright / Gavin Larose
Morgan was perfect on the day at #4 singles, sweeping all three of his matches without dropping a single game — 8-0, 8-0, 8-0. Conkright and Larose also went undefeated across both tournaments, winning the #4 doubles flight at each event.
The Mustangs return to action next week. For the full schedule, visit clioathletics.org.

Clio Boys Soccer- Rivals for Hope
We're proud to announce that we are kicking of Rivals for Hope Week next week! On Monday, August 31, our Varsity Boys Soccer team hosts Flushing at 6:30 PM to kick off Rivals for Hope — one week, one cause. It's the second year our program has come together for a cancer awareness game, and this year we're playing for Maddie Walker, a Flushing student who has been going through treatment for lymphoma.
The Boys Soccer team will have shirts available at the game for purchase. Cost is $20.00. There are a limited number of shirts available, so make sure to get yours early! Proceeds from every shirt go directly to Maddie and her family.

ATHLETIC BOOSTERS
Parent Volunteers Needed!
Mustangs, we’re calling on you! Let's fill the stands AND THE SHIFTS!
Our 2026 fall season is in full swing and our Fall Concessions staffing schedule is out, and we need your help to make the season a success!
This is a fantastic way to support our athletes, get directly involved, and connect with other parents. The attached graphic shows which shifts are available.
Your Action Item:
Take a look at the graphic. We have multiple shifts available! If your team is listed under "Team Staffing," please step up. The entire season's staffing schedule is available at the link in the comments, allowing you to plan ahead. With your busy schedules in mind, we've made the shifts shorter, the menu streamlined and the pricing straightforward so it's easy to step in to help.
TO VOLUNTEER: Contact your sport's coach to claim a shift! They are coordinating all parent assignments.
Next Meeting: September 14, 2026
All Mustang families, fans, and community members are invited to attend the next Athletic Booster Club meeting on Monday, September 14 at 6:00 PM in the Clio High School cafeteria.
The Athletic Boosters play a big role in supporting Clio athletics — from equipment and uniforms to senior recognition and improvements that benefit every Mustang athlete. Meetings are a chance to hear what's happening across our programs, help plan upcoming events and fundraisers, and get involved in whatever way fits your schedule.
You don't need to have an athlete in a specific sport, and you don't need to commit to anything to attend. If you've been curious about how to get involved, this is a great place to start. New faces are always welcome.

Pride Stadium Reminders
Pride Stadium: What to Know Before You Go
With fall sports underway, here's a refresher on the admission policies and facility rules at Pride Stadium (1 Mustang Drive) so your visit goes smoothly.
Admission
All guests enter through the ticket booth. Handicap parking is available in the lots directly outside the stadium. Please note that re-entry is not permitted once you leave.
Students in 8th grade or younger must be accompanied by a paid adult and supervised at all times. These students are admitted free, but must show their student ID or a screenshot of their StudentVue login to get in at no charge.
Clio High School students get in free with a current student ID. If an ID is lost or misplaced, the digital ID in StudentVue will be accepted. Students without proper ID will need to purchase a ticket.
