Lion Country News

Dear Canyon Valley Parents and Families,

It is important to inform you that today, due to a technical error, a lockdown alert/announcement was sounded at our school. Please be assured this was an error, and at no time were any students or staff in danger.

As is appropriate, as soon as staff heard the lockdown announcement, they immediately followed safety protocols, ensuring that all students were safe. The lockdown lasted approximately 5 minutes.

Our Safety & Security and Technology teams are currently investigating the error and reviewing what happened to ensure this does not happen again.

Please thank your child for their very appropriate response. They followed our instructions well. The safety and well-being of our students and staff are always a top priority, and we take this very seriously.

Thank you for your support of our school; it is much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Adam Strock

Principal
