From the Front Office π€
Gentle Reminders from the Front Office Staff
- Parents/Guardians must have a valid ID and must be on the student's approved list to pick up students from school.
- Please send in parent notes or medical excuses for absences within 5 days of the absences.
- Students will not be dismissed to a parent after 2:30 as we start calling names for car line at 3:05.
- Please do not drop off items in the front office for students after 9:30. This is to help reduce classroom disruptions and to teach students to be more responsible for their own items.
- No outside food is permitted for student drop-off.
- Students will start receiving charges for their school ID badges if they need a new one. (see below)
Student ID Badges π
As part of Aiken County Public Schoolsβ district-wide safety initiative, all students are required to wear school-issued ID badges on a breakaway lanyard during the school day. Unless newly registered, all Leavelle McCampbell students should now have an ID badge.
Wearing IDs helps us ensure that everyone on campus is accounted for and authorized to be here, enhancing the safety and security of our school community.
Hereβs what families need to know:
- ID badges must be worn daily during school hours.
- Replacement badges will cost $5 (lanyard only is $1)
- Temporary IDs will be available each day for $1.
- Parents will be notified once a studentβs ID-related charges reach $10.
- Student accounts will be billed for any outstanding fines.
We appreciate your partnership in supporting this important safety measure. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our front office. Together, we can ensure Leavelle McCampbell Middle remains a safe and welcoming place for all students.
Cell Phone Policy π±
Pursuant to ACPSD Board Policy JICJ, students are prohibited from utilizing personal electronic devices or accessories during the instructional school day.
For this policy, personal electronic device means any device utilized to access the internet, wi-fi, cellular telephone signals, or to capture images or video. This includes, but is not limited to cell phones, smart watches, tablets, and gaming devices.
This also includes the use of accessories. Personal electronic device accessories include any wired or wireless accessory or wearable technology that connects to a device and any other accessory commonly used in conjunction with a personal electronic device.
Although middle and high school students may possess a personal electronic device, the device should not be activated or utilized for any function unless specifically authorized as part of an instructional directive by a teacher or other classroom supervisor. Unless school-specific exceptions apply, the above specified devices should be turned off and placed out of sight and not in use during instructional day. This rule applies during established school day hours and at off-campus activities during the school day. (Principals may further restrict use before and after school as necessary.)
For each violation the student will be informed that he or she is in violation of the Electronic Device Policy, and the student will be asked to turn the device off and put it away. A referral for Cell Phone Violation (Code 330) will be entered.
The following consequences will be followed when processing the referrals written by the teacher and are intended to replace the provisions in the 2024 β 2025 Student Code of Conduct previously published:
1st Offense Personal Electronic Device or Accessory Violation β up to 1 Day ISS
Upon processing, the administrator will remind the student of the policy and future consequences such as ISS, OSS, etc.

3rd Offense Personal Electronic Device or Accessory Violation β Up to 3 Days OSS & Probation/Behavior Contract
Subsequent Offenses will follow the consequences outlined in the probation/behavior contract and may be considered Refusal to Obey (Code 270)
