Attendance Boundary Committee
Attendance Boundary Committee The total time commitment is approximately 4–5 hours over the next few months, with meetings scheduled in both the mornings and afternoons. If you are interested in serving, please complete and submit this form by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025. While we may not be able to include every volunteer, we will strive to ensure broad representation from across our school communities. Selected participants will be contacted directly with more information.
With the continued growth in Liberty Hill ISD and the opening of new schools on the horizon, we will be launching an Attendance Boundary Committee this fall. We are seeking two to three parents from each campus to serve on this important committee.

TEA Discipline Updates
Required Parent Communication from Campus Principal
HB 6 requires TEA to “…prepare and provide to each school district a report identifying each law relating to school discipline that was amended or added by the 89th Legislature, Regular Session, 2025.” [Section 22, HB 6]. It further requires each district to provide the report to each student and parent or guardian. To comply with the statutory reporting requirement, TEA has prepared a document designed for families to explain the general requirements of student discipline and laws that were recently changed. TEA expects each district to provide a copy of the Overview of School Discipline for Parents document to each student and parent to comply with their notice requirements under HB 6. A Spanish translation of the document will be published soon.
Transportation Changes
Keeping consistent afternoon dismissal, will support your child in feeling safe and confident at the end of each day. If it is necessary to request a transportation change, please visit our district transportation site . All changes must be made by email before 1pm on the day of the change. This is an LHISD policy. Any transportation change requests after 1:00pm will not be honored. Any emails sent to campus personnel requesting a transportation change will not be accepted.
Parents will get a confirmation email for transportation changes, but please be mindful that it might take time. If they don’t hear back from our receptionist 1pm, you may call the campus to confirm it was received.
Early pickup cut off time is 2:40. If you wish to pick up your child early, you must park in the parking lot and come into the building with a valid ID to check your child out with the receptionist.
SRE Attendance Emails & Calls
Attendance emails & attendance calls are going out - please give us up to a week to process/update excused absences before calling to check if they have been taken care of.
September: Empathy
EMPATHY:
Understanding and caring about how others are feeling
*Empathy is about sharing an emotion with someone, or feeling the way they feel, even if you aren’t in the same situation.
Example: Have you ever been with a friend who just got a new toy and she’s so excited about it and you get super excited too? If you are feeling excited because you know how great it can feel to get a new toy (even though you didn’t get a toy and you aren’t playing with the toy)… that’s empathy. Being excited with your friend is a kind of empathy.
*Empathy means you see things from someone else’s point of view, or from their perspective.
Example : Have you ever thought a game was really fun but your friend felt it wasn’t fair? If you saw your friend was bothered by the game and understood she wasn’t having a good time even though you were… that’s empathy. You showed empathy by understanding how things felt from her side of the situation.
Families, please check your child's backpack and school items each morning to make sure they have everything that they need. There have been many forgotten items brought to campus after instruction has begun. Here are some tips to support with this:
- Have backpacks packed every night
- Use sticky notes as reminders
- Have students complete an inventory checklist- backpack, snack, water bottle, lunch, etc.
- Have your child develop a routine of organzing items to ensure that nothing gets left behind
