If you missed this one, don't worry! We're planning another field trip in the Spring (to a different school). Keep your eyes peeled for more information in second semester!
Events to be aware of π
Scholarship Writing Workshop
First of all, it was great to meet some of you on 9/24 for the advising meeting! It came to my attention from students that a scholarship workshop session would be helpful in preparing for post-secondary options, so let's do it!
On October 29th, we're inviting Heidi Echeverria from PCC back to FLEX to walk us through some tips and tricks for writing college and scholarship essays. We're planning to start at 10 Am in the FLEX Library. Please let me know if you have any questions about the event and I hope to see you there!
The College Place Webinar
Join the experts from ECMC's The College Place Oregon, the Oregon Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (OASFAA) and colleges across Oregon as we explain the financial aid process.
Youβll have the opportunity to privately ask questions and interact with a financial aid officer via a secure chatroom during the presentation.
This FREE paying for college event is available so that families across Oregon can learn how to pay for college, and is appropriate for high school students and their families as well as adults continuing their education after high school.
The event runs on Oct 8th at 6:00 PM. Click on the image to register!
