Our School
MS Spring Musical | Annie
A huge congratulations to all our talented middle school students who took the stage this week for our production of Annie! Your hard work, energy, and dedication truly shone through in every performance. The team and individual performances on display showed the talent and skill of our students.
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible directing team: Mrs. Newsome, Dr. Flescher, and Mr. Walton. Thank you for your vision, patience, and for inspiring our students to reach their full creative potential.
K-5 Spring Musical: The Kingdom Connection
Join us as St. John's Presents The Kingdom Connection: Where the Bible Comes to Life for an interactive museum experience meeting kings of the past! God's truths are displayed through the lives of these kings in a musical adventure you won't want to miss!
Wednesday, May 6th at 6:30pm
Please bring your students to their classrooms, dressed in black, by 6:15pm. Students with a speaking part are asked to arrive in the Worship Center by 6pm dressed in costume. Thank you for your attention to this!
Please feel free to reach out to nissa.newsome@sjdenver.org with any questions.
Would you like to send a Shout Out to one of our K-5 Performers?
St. John's School is currently collecting 'shout outs' for students in our Elementary Spring Musical.
A Shout Out is a brief message of encouragement, support, and love from families, which will be printed in the program, creating a lasting keepsake and souvenir for your young actor. Additionally, this offers a wonderful opportunity for out-of-town relatives to express their support if they are unable to attend in person.
Each Shout Out is priced at $15, and all proceeds will go towards supporting St. John's drama programs.
Here is an Example Shout Out:
"Johnny, we're are so proud of all of your hard work in this musical! You are going to be amazing! Love from Mom, Dad, and the whole family."
Shouts Outs close at 9am on Monday, May 4 , 2026.
Save the Date: A Historic Last Day of School
We are switching things up for our final day of the year! While we usually head to the park for a picnic, this year calls for something a bit more monumental.
Please join us in the school parking lot on May 22 for our 250 Year Tailgate Celebration! We’re trading the park benches for truck beds to honor the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding.
A Legendary Special Guest
To make our Semiquincentennial celebration truly unforgettable, we are honored to announce that a live Bald Eagle will be joining us. Families will have the rare opportunity to visit with this majestic national symbol and see it up close.
The Game Plan
Pack up the car and bring the whole crew. This is a true community tailgate where families are encouraged to bring:
Grills, picnic gear, and coolers (Note: No alcohol is permitted on campus).
Backyard games like Cornhole to keep the celebration going.
Tables and chairs to set up your ultimate tailgate base.
Final Chapel Offering
Final Chapel Offering of the year is a travel-sized hygiene items collection. These items will be delivered to a ministry in Juarez, Mexico, by a group of teens and adults from St. John's Church in the summer. Please drop off your items in the bins near the elementary school entrance and community room through May 15.
Dress Code Reminder: New Season
As we enter this new season, we wanted to send a friendly reminder about our school’s dress code requirements.
Over the course of the year, many students have grown, and items that fit well in the fall may now be shorter or no longer meet our guidelines. We ask that you take a few moments to review your child’s wardrobe and ensure that all clothing continues to align with our dress code expectations.
We greatly value your partnership in this area. Our desire is to cultivate an environment of excellence where students are prepared for learning and present themselves in a way that reflects respect for themselves, others, and our school community.
1st Day School Supply: Orders Due July 1st
We’ve partnered with 1st Day School Supply to make back-to-school shopping as easy as possible for your family.
Here’s how it works:
- Our teachers carefully select and customize each grade-level supply list
- 1st Day School Supply packs everything into one convenient box
- Your supplies are delivered right to you—no store runs required!
- Orders due
Once your kit arrives, just hold onto it and bring all supplies to school on Monday, August 10 to drop off in your student’s classroom.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy your summer knowing school supplies are already taken care of. One less thing on your to-do list, and one more reason to soak up the sunshine!
If you have any questions, we’re happy to help. We can’t wait to kick off another great school year together!
