Good afternoon everyone, Volkert Volkerz, local musician joins us on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at line up to accompany our morning routines. We have been fortunate to have Mrs. Neilssen and Music for Special this week! Hearing singing and music throughout our halls is lovely.

Next week brings the start of fall assessments with students in all grades participating in a variety of tests to identify areas of strength and areas of additional need. Please make sure your student(s) is well rested and has eaten a good breakfast in order to be best prepared.

The mums are still available outside the school, thanks to the PTO for continued support! The PTOs next event is schedule for October 10th with a 5k and 1mile Fun Run.

Plastic Recycling-the DCS community has recycled over 2000 pounds of plastic bags and in return were given a bench from the Trex decking company! Please keep your clean plastic shopping bags and pellet bags coming, we are working toward a second bench and beyond!

DCS also collects metal tabs to be donated toward support for people with prosthetics! Please bring your tabs to school!
