Poway Road Closure for Annual Grade Maintenance: October 27-29
The City of Poway will be conducting annual road maintenance on Poway Road, between Espola and Highway 67. The road will be closed Tuesday, October 27, through Thursday, October 29, from 9 am to 3:30 pm each day. Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes during the closure. Thank you for your patience as the City works to maintain Poway’s roadways.
Trimester 1 Finals: November 4-6
Trimester 1 Finals will take place November 4-6 following a modified bell schedule.
To ensure the best testing environment for all students during finals, we will not distribute off-campus passes during class periods. If your student must leave campus, please provide 24-hour advance notice by calling the Off-Campus Pass Line at 858-748-0245 x5113. This number is monitored during school hours.
Please remind your student that they are responsible for picking up the pass—passes will not be delivered to classrooms.
For same-day release requests, parents or guardians must come to the PHS Front Office with a valid ID to check out their student. Students will only be permitted to check out between class periods or during lunch to minimize disruptions during finals.
Please refer to the attached finals bell schedule if you need an off-campus pass for your student.
We appreciate your cooperation and support in maintaining a smooth finals week.
Modified Bell Schedule/Late Start: November 9
Monday, November 9, will be a late-start day to begin Trimester 2 with a modified bell schedule. School will begin at 11:00 am and end at 3:35 pm.
Fall 2026: Healthy Tech Habits
Teaching children to develop healthy habits with technology is important for their overall physical and mental well-being. A balanced approach to technology helps students thrive both in and out of the classroom.
Families can promote mindful and balanced technology use at home. By establishing these habits early, you help your child build a strong foundation for responsible technology use throughout their life.

As the holiday season approaches, our Titan community has another opportunity to come together and support Poway High families who could use a little extra help this time of year.
The Giving Tree Program helps families who may be experiencing difficult circumstances and need additional support to make the holidays a little brighter. Your generosity not only helps provide holiday gifts and essentials, but also supports our students throughout the year with basic necessities, school supplies, activities, and other needs.
