At HEMS, we look at the criteria for students to be successful and those are: the ABCs. Our Attendance, Behavior, and Classwork is what sets HEMS apart for the other middle schools in Cabell County. We have high expectations for each of our students to be successful in and out of the classroom.

The last week of August, any student who attended for all 5 days were awarded 5 PBIS Points on Friday to spend in the PBIS Store

Any student who misses less than 2 days of school in the month of October will qualify to attend the Halloween Dance on October 31st during the school day

Huge Congratulations to Ms. Thomas’s 7th Grade Math Classes!

Ms. Thomas’s students have completed the most MATHia workspaces during the first 9 weeks — an incredible achievement! Their dedication and hard work paid off, and they even tracked their progress using a MATHia tracker to stay on top of their goals.

As a result, the traveling trophy is officially in their hands!

Way to go, Bears — keep up the amazing work!
