Missions Project Completion
We want to say thank you to everyone that donated during our fundraiser! We were able to accomplish more than we ever thought. What started out as helping with a hygiene project turned into finding out there was a bigger need. A village school in Itara, Uganda needed a well. In order to have water at the school each day, students and staff have to travel a long distance to gather it as needed. They then have to purify the water before use. This happens multiple times a day depending on how much water is needed. We were presented with a big need: in order to build the well they would need $8000! We decided this was a goal we wanted to reach and with your efforts and the funds raised the night of the benefit we did just that! We also found out that the company ONE30 was partnering with to build the well decided to go one better and teach a young plummer in Uganda to build the well(s)... so CCS is not just building one well in Uganda we will end up helping to build many! We will be assisting the missionaries to give clean water as they share the LIVING WATER. I don't know about you but that makes me want to celebrate.
On Friday students finished up this project by packing hygiene bags to send with the Stidham family when they go to Uganda this summer.
