Annual Forms Now Available
Annual student forms, which include the Student Verification and Student Health forms, are required for all students each year.
Please complete the forms through your Skyward Parent Portal. Be sure to log in using the Parent Portal, not the Student Portal. You can reach the portal by clicking “Login” at the link below.
Click to complete Annual Forms: www.pfisd.net/skyward
Please remember the following:
- The forms are available for the parent/guardian listed as Parent 1 in Skyward. If you do not see the forms, please check with other parents/guardians.
- If you move over the summer, you must contact your home campus regarding your change of address. If your address change results in an attendance zone change, you must complete the online forms for the new campus. Please submit an updated proof of residency document to the new campus. New online forms will be available once the address is up-to-date in Skyward.
If you need a Skyward Family Access account or have additional questions, email Skyward support at parentportal@pfisd.net or your campus registrar. In the email to the parent portal support, include your name, your student’s name, and your student’s school.
Free and Reduced Lunch
In order to be approved for free or reduced lunch, families must reapply every year. We do not want to miss anyone, so encourage all of our families to apply! The application can be found here: https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application
Breakfast is free to all PfISD students regardless of economic status.
Field Day Sponsorship
Murchison is (already!) looking for Field Day sponsors! If you own a business, work for a company that loves supporting local schools, or simply want to give back as a family, we would love to partner with you!
Every single dollar directly impacts our students and hard-working staff. Deadline for sponsorship is September 1st. Take a look at our open sponsorship tiers.

Personal Devise Use During the School Day
In accordance with Texas House Bill 1481, Pflugerville ISD prohibits students from using personal wireless communication devices during school hours. The law requires all Texas school districts to restrict student use of these devices and defines a personal wireless communication device as any wireless electronic communication device, other than a school-issued device used for instructional purposes, that is capable of transmitting or receiving data.
Items that must now be put away on Pflugerville ISD campuses from bell to bell:
- Personal cell phones
- Tablets
- Gaming devices
- Smart watches
- Bluetooth headphones or earbuds
- Fitness trackers that can send or receive messages
- Personal computers not being used for instructional purposes
- Two-way radios
- Pagers
- Any other device capable of digital communication.
What this means for Pflugerville ISD:
- Devices must be stored out of sight and not in use during school hours
- Exceptions will be made for documented medical needs and special education accommodations.
- Students will receive a warning for a first infraction. Continued violations may result in the confiscation of the item.
The law is designed to support student learning, reduce distractions, and limit the potential for cyberbullying. To help students adjust, families are encouraged to speak with their students about this change and perhaps consider practicing being device-free at home.
Standard Response Protocols
As we head into a new school year, we encourage families to review PfISD’s Standard Response Protocols (SRP). These protocols help students, staff and families understand what to expect during an emergency, including Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate and Shelter.
Taking a few minutes to review these protocols can help everyone feel prepared and know how to respond if an emergency occurs.
Learn more about PfISD’s Standard Response Protocols and campus emergency drills on our Safety & Emergency Management webpage.
Food Services
Families can use MySchoolBucks to add funds and check student meal account balances. Beginning July 31, 2026, online payment processing fees will be $3.75 per credit/debit card transaction and $2.75 per e-check transaction. Families may deposit up to $200 per student per transaction.
Families can also choose OnePay, which allows unlimited payments from a checking account throughout the school year after paying a one-time annual fee, with no additional processing fees.
Cash and check payments can be made through your school's cafeteria.
For menus, meal pricing, applications and more information, visit www.pfisd.net/food-services. You can also download the Nutrislice app on your phone to quickly see the menu each day!
School Supplies
Ready to do some school supply shopping? Our campus has determined not to do the PTO Sprouts school supplies this year. However, you can still create an online cart and have the supplies shipped directly to your home if that is more convenient for you. Find the school supply lists here. Click on Murchison, then your child's grade level to see their supply list.

Need help with supplies? PfISD has a School Supply Pfair where you can get whatever you need!
Meet the Teacher
Meet the Teacher Night is August 10 from 4:30-6:30. This come-and-go event gives you the opportunity to drop off school supplies, meet your child's teacher, and see their classroom.
Teacher assignments will be posted in Skyward starting the week of August 3. Teachers are attending professional development all week that week but will call you the afternoon of August 7 to introduce themselves!
PTO will be set up during Meet the Teacher and will be selling the new MES shirt this year if you want to purchase one. Bring cash to save money on the shirt!
We will also have a craft activity set up for students in the cafeteria they can do after they meet their teacher. Sofie's Snow Cones and Donut NV will be on site to purchase treats as well!
School Registration
Do you have a friend or neighbor who hasn't registered their child for school in the Fall? Now is the time! Families can start their registration online here: https://www.pfisd.net/registration-information
If they have any questions about registration, they are welcome to call the school at 512-594-6000 or email our campus registrar at zaira.smith@pfisd.net

PTO Corner
Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has already begun planning fun activities and opportunities for families that also help raise money for our school!
If you have been at MES, you have seen how quickly our lost-and-found fills up! Label your items easily using Mabel's Labels. These are great name labels for water bottles, hoodies, jackets, and more. Mabel’s Labels will donate 20% of each purchase to the PTO when you use the QR code on the flyer and search for Murchison Elementary PTO.
We also have two Kalahari options coming up! Our booking window for the September weekend closes 8/25. For each room booked using the QR code on the flyer, Kalahari will donate a portion back to the PTO. Kalahari is so fun and this a great price!
