MARCH MADNESS!
Is your March basketball bracket already falling apart?
Perfect. You’ll have better odds here.
This isn’t the basketball tournament — it’s our month-long PTO raffle fundraiser supporting Mundelein District 75 students!
Throughout the month of March, we raffle off AMAZING prizes — including electronics, gift cards, family fun adventures, party packages, themed baskets, and more — all while raising funds to support our D75 schools!
Purchase tickets here, now through the end of March:
1 for $10
3 for $25
15 for $100
We go LIVE on Facebook multiple times a week to draw winners, so be sure to follow the PTO page and tune in!
Tickets purchased by 10PM the night before a drawing are entered into the upcoming drawing.
The best part?
Your ticket stays in all month unless it wins — so even if your team gets knocked out… you’re STILL in the game here.
More tickets = more chances to win.
No sports knowledge required.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!!
We miss you when you are not at school!
MG is stronger when more students are present! Learning can progress together when all of our students are here.
Our building goal is to have 90% of our students at school on a daily basis (students do get sick). At 120 days of school we are at 85% of our students attending on a daily basis. Please think twice when deciding to have students stay home.
Together we are better!

OLYMPIC DAY at MG
The school year is almost over and time really has flown by. With the school year ending that can only mean one thing, OLYMPIC DAY!
This year Olympic Day is Wednesday, May 20th (rain date May 21st) and MG needs volunteers to help make the event a success. Any family member who is 18 years old or older can help out.
If you sign up for both AM and PM, your lunch break will be from 11:00am-11:40am.
Please make sure when signing up that MG has your ID scanned into the system from this school year. Please come before Olympic Day to have your ID scanned if it is not already in the system this year. You can email mgoffice@d75.org to check if you have a current scanned ID.
Remember to dress appropriately and don’t forget that sunscreen!
Thank you, MG Staff

SPORTS SUMMER CAMP AT MG
Hi everyone! This is Mr. F, one of the PE teachers at MG. If you’re looking for a fun and active way for your child to spend part of the summer, Mr. G and I are excited to once again offer our annual Summer Sports Camp this June.
The camp is open to incoming 3rd graders and current 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade MG students and will run from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on June 8–11, 15–18, and 22–25 (no Fridays), for a total of 12 days filled with sports, games, and activity. The cost is a one-time fee of $150, payable by cash or check to MG Summer Sports Camp.
If you’re interested in signing up, please take a look at THIS FLYER, which includes a QR code for easy registration. We hope to see your kids there for a great summer experience!
Project Challenge Update
Need more practice with word problems?
Word problems tend to be challenging for all students. Especially in the upper grades when students are expected to complete multi-step problems. Understanding what the question is asking can be challenging. It takes more than just finding key words or phrases ( in all, how many more, share equally). A good way to practice is to eliminate the numbers in the problem. Students can then focus on what the problem is asking and think of strategies to solve the problem. If students understand the structure of the problem (adding or combining, finding the difference, groups of items, sharing items), then students can do the appropriate calculation to solve the problem. Here is a link to some word problems to try at home. Here is a link to nrich.math.org. This website has math/problem solving activities for families to do together. Some are online and some just require paper/pencil. Continued exposure to word problems will greatly benefit students in all grade levels.
