Wildcat Weekly- 9/22-9/26

Message from Principal Martinez 🐾
Dear Wildcat Families,
We are already halfway through September, and what a wonderful start to the school year it has been! Students are settling into routines, classrooms are buzzing with learning, and we’ve enjoyed seeing so many of you at recent school events. Thank you for your support in making the first month of school such a success.
As we move further into the fall, here are a few reminders and highlights:
Attendance Matters! Consistent attendance helps children build strong academic and social skills. Please continue to schedule appointments outside of school hours when possible.
Upcoming Events: Keep an eye on our school calendar for upcoming family events, and opportunities to get involved.
We’re grateful for your partnership as we continue to nurture a safe, welcoming, and engaging school environment. Let’s keep the momentum going—our students are off to a fantastic start, and we can’t wait to see the rest of the year unfold!
Go Wildcats!
Picture Make Up Day 📸
Monday, September 22
If your student was absent on Monday 9/15, they can take their school picture this Monday, September 22. This is the final opportunity to take school pictures this Fall. These pictures will be used in our School Yearbook. Spring Pictures will not be in the yearbook.
Update: Volunteer Process & New Check-In System
We’re excited to share that we are rolling out a new check-in iPad system in the front office. This system will require a valid photo ID at check-in for all visitors on campus. The new system will also be used for student late arrivals and early departures.
As for our updated volunteer process, while the district had originally planned to have the new system finalized by mid-September, they are now adjusting the timeline to the end of September. This will ensure everything is set up smoothly and staff receive proper training.
In the meantime, we will continue welcoming those who wish to volunteer on campus as visitors.
If you plan to volunteer on a regular basis this year, we encourage you to complete your TB assessment or testing now, so you’ll be ready once the updated process officially launches.
Thank you for your patience and ongoing support as we work to build a more efficient volunteer experience. Our volunteers are a valued part of our school communities, and we look forward to welcoming you under the new system soon.
