2023.11.09: Meeting Recap

The HF Strategic Planning Committee continued in Phase 2: Analyze of the process as it dove into focus group and survey data at its meeting on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

The committee reviewed the data summary from the Equimetrics survey taken by staff members earlier this school year. The Equimetrics survey measures the organization’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) culture and helps pinpoint specific areas for improvement. The committee then broke into three teams focused on student, staff and family/community focus groups and survey results to conduct a SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity, threat) analysis of the findings.

This was the second meeting in Phase 2 dedicated to identifying emerging themes from the data that will assist the committee in establishing priorities for the Strategic Plan. At the October meeting, the Committee conducted a SWOT analysis based on their experiences and interactions within the school community.

At the next meeting, the Committee will dive into data related to HF academics as it continues to hone in on priorities for the next five years and beyond.

Ultimately, the goal is that the Committee will provide a Strategic Plan recommendation to the Board of Education by the end of the 2023-24 school year for implementation beginning in July 2024. That recommendation will include the key components depicted here:
