January Came in Like a Lion January Came in Like a Lion

MVMS Families,

Happy New Year! Felt strange putting '25 as the year on the Family Update... that will take some getting used to! This week has been quite the journey with a cancellation, two delays, and an assembly schedule today. Thank you for your flexibility as we navigate the challenges of inclement weather. Once we were able to get kids back in the building, it was great to hear so many kids say that they were excited to come back to school!

Today we hosted an in-school wrestling dual with Licking Heights. I am proud of how our students represented our school and community. A special shout out to the wrestlers who put on a great performance. It was a thrilling end to the dual as the Jackets took home the victory 43-42 scoring a pin in the final match. It takes a lot of guts and determination to get out there in front of your peers and compete! Go Jackets!

It is going to be a cold and snowy rest of our Friday with weather moving in the area shortly. If you are traveling somewhere to watch the Buckeye game with friends and family, the roads will likely be snow covered on your way home! Stay safe and Go Buckeyes -- Beat Texas!
