Message from Principal Meaux
Austin families,
A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible Austin PTO for a tremendously successful and SUPER fun Fall Festival! So much time, hard work, and heart went into making this night special for our Cubs and their families, and we are so grateful. To our PTO and everyone who volunteered, donated, set up, cleaned up, and helped bring it all together: you gave our school community a wonderful evening of fun and connection. We loved seeing everyone enjoying this Austin tradition! Thank you for pouring so much love into our school. ❤️
Remember, Monday, November 2, and Tuesday, November 3, are student holidays. There will be no school. We’ll see our Cubs back on Wednesday! I hope you enjoy the extra time with your families!
Moving our start time from 7:55 to 7:50 has been more challenging than we anticipated. Five minutes may not sound like much, but every minute counts. Arriving late means missing learning and the routines that help students get settled and ready for the day. Those minutes add up! Any parent knows that getting children out of bed, out the door, and on the road on time is no small task. The struggle is real, and we appreciate the effort you make each morning.
This nine weeks, our character lessons focus on Caring and Giving. We’re helping our Cubs learn to notice when others need help and find ways to show they care. This is a season for opening our hearts, and it can also be a difficult time for many families and neighbors.
If you’re able, we challenge you to add one extra can of vegetables or bag of rice to your shopping cart for Austin’s 3rd Grade Community Food Drive. Our third graders have placed collection boxes around the school and will collect donations through November 13. More information is below. Thank you for helping our Cubs put caring and giving into action!

Calling All Austin Super Cubs!
Our Super Cubs Attendance Challenge is starting! Help your child's class become Attendance Champions by making sure they come to school every day and on time!
The winning class will receive a BIG Attendance Trophy to proudly show off to the entire school!
But here's the twist! Classes will compete every two weeks, which means another class could STEAL the trophy and become the new champions!
Don't let another class take your trophy! Let's work together, aim for 95% attendance, and show everyone which class has the best attendance at Austin Elementary!
Attention 4th Grade Families:
4th Grade Veterans Day Program request for pictures!
We invite our school community to help us honor the veterans and active-duty military members connected to our staff and families. We would love to include photos of family members, past or present, who have served or are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces of our fourth grade students. These photos will be featured in a special slideshow or display to help our fourth graders recognize and celebrate the personal connections we share with those who serve our country.
If you would like to participate, please submit a digital photo by email to Nyamada@conroeisd.net or Osaldierna@conroeisd.net . Or drop off a physical photo with your student before November 6. We will make a copy of any physical photos and send it back home with the student. If available, please include the individual’s name, their relationship to you, branch of service, rank, years and location of service, or any fun facts or special memories you’d like to share. Please label physical photos with your name so they can be safely returned. Thank you for helping us make this program meaningful for our students and school community!
Lunch Visitors
We love welcoming parents to have lunch with their children! Because space is limited, please use the SignUpGenius link below to schedule your visit. Your child will join you at our family table, but other students may not join you. This helps us keep everyone safe while still making room for families to enjoy this special time together. We look forward to seeing you!
