DRRHS Falcon Flash
April 10th, 2026
A Message from Mr. Demers
Dear DRRHS Families,
Welcome to the fourth quarter of the 2025-2026 school year here at DRRHS. As the days continue to get longer and spring settles in across 2700 Regional Road, it is especially striking to realize that the Class of 2026 has now entered their final quarter as DRRHS students. The months ahead will be filled with celebrations, accomplishments, and memories as they begin their final march toward graduation. As always, there has been no shortage of exciting happenings on campus this week. Here are a few highlights:
- The DRRHS Theatre Company is excited to present this year’s spring musical, Little Shop of Horrors. We hope you will join us in the auditorium for this outstanding performance. Showtimes are Friday evening at 6:00 PM and Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM. A tremendous amount of work has gone into this production by our students, staff, and directors, and we encourage the entire DR community to come out and support our talented performers.
- Spring sports season is fully underway, and our Falcons are already finding success. Congratulations to the DR Girls Lacrosse team on their impressive 16–6 victory over Bourne on Wednesday. It was a complete team effort, highlighted by strong offensive production and a terrific defensive performance. Goal scorers included Skyla Stott, Gia Papa, Kaia Goulart, Reese Jefferson, Ainsley Zibrida, and Alexis Pettinato, while Phoebe Braga anchored the defense with 7 saves in net. Great job, Falcons!
- As we begin the fourth quarter, this is also an important time academically for all students. The final quarter provides an opportunity to finish the year strong, continue building momentum, and for our seniors, begin celebrating the culmination of their high school journey. We encourage all students to stay focused, take advantage of available supports, and continue striving for excellence both inside and outside of the classroom.
There is certainly much to be excited about as we begin the final stretch of the 2025–2026 school year. We look forward to all that the coming weeks will bring and hope to see many of you at our performances, athletic events, and celebrations this spring.
With Falcon Pride,
Dustin Demers – Principal DRRHS

Subject: Technology Repair Fees
Dear Families,
We hope this message finds you well. As part of our commitment to maintaining our technology resources, we wanted to inform you about our updated repair fee structure. These fees help us cover the cost of repairs when school-issued devices are damaged due to misuse or carelessness. The fees are divided into three tiers, depending on the extent of the damage. These fees will appear on your child’s My School Bucks Account.
Level 1
Charger, Cover (top or bottom), Touchpad, etc.
$40
Level 2
Keyboard, Monitor
$75
Level 3
Total Loss/Replacement
$300
We encourage students to handle their devices with care to avoid any damage and the associated costs. If a device does require repair, the appropriate fee will be communicated to you along with the steps to resolve the issue.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support in keeping our technology in great condition! If you have any questions or concerns, please email the IT Department (emails are listed below).

Help Shape the Future of Career & Technical Education at DRRHS!
Dear Dighton Rehoboth Families,
Exciting things are happening at Dighton Rehoboth Regional High School! Our Career & Technical Education (CTE) department is launching three brand-new programs: Medical Assisting, Criminal Justice, and Culinary Arts, and we’re looking for enthusiastic parents and students to help us bring these programs to life.
We are currently seeking volunteers to serve on our Program Advisory Committees (PACs). PAC members play an important role in helping guide and strengthen our programs. Your insights and experiences can help us design meaningful learning opportunities that prepare students for real-world careers.
As a PAC member, you will help:
Shape and strengthen program curriculum
Inspire students as they explore their career pathways
Share industry knowledge and perspectives
Help ignite curiosity and a passion for lifelong learning in our students
The commitment is minimal but impactful:
Approximately 3–4 virtual meetings
One in-person walkthrough once the program spaces are completed
If you have experience in healthcare, law enforcement/criminal justice, culinary arts, or related industries, or simply have a passion for helping students succeed, we would love to have you involved.
This is a wonderful opportunity to help shape the future of Dighton Rehoboth Regional High School and support the next generation of skilled professionals.
If you are interested in joining a Program Advisory Committee, please sign up using the Parent and Student Interest Form found below.
Thank you for your continued support of our students and our school community.
Warm regards,
Michael Strojny

Phone/Earbud/Headphone Usage DRRHS
District Electronic Device Policy
The term “electronic devices,” includes but is not limited to cell phones, iPads/tablets, laptops/computers (other than those issued by the District), electronic/smart devices, and headphones/airpods. The expectation is that these personal devices remain off and away during the school day. Staff may require students to store phones in a centralized location. The only exception is at the high school, where students are permitted to use their phones during transition time in the hallway between classes and during lunch. High school students are not allowed to use their phones during class time, or when out of the classroom during class time (i.e., bathroom breaks). Students remain solely responsible for any loss or damage to any electronic devices used or brought onto school property. Use of electronic devices at school are subject to the District’s Acceptable Use Policy and any applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to M.G.L. c. 272, sec. 99, which is sometimes known as the Massachusetts Wiretapping Law.

School Hours
7:00 - Doors open (breakfast available)
7:17 - First Period Begins
1:51 - Dismissal
Attendance
A reminder that a student will be assigned Saturday School if they accrue 5 attendance points in a quarter.
- An unexcused absence (one not accompanied by a valid medical note) equals one attendance point.
- An unexcused tardy/dismissal equals an attendance half point.
A student's exemplary academic standing or disciplinary record have no bearing on the assignment of a Saturday School in the case of five or more attendance points being accrued over the course of one quarter of the school year.
First period begins at 7:17AM. Any student not in their classroom at 7:17 or later will be considered tardy for that day.
Chromebooks
All Chromebooks should be charged and ready for each school day. Outside devices are not permitted, only school issued Chromebooks can be used at DRRHS during the school day.
The school has a limited number of loaner chromebooks and priority is to those students whose chromebooks are being fixed. Please remember that students should be bringing in fully charged chromebooks to school every day with charging cords.
Student Parking
If a Senior or Junior is planning on parking at school, they can purchase a sticker in the office. The cost to park at school is $60 for the year. At the start of Semester 2, parking will be $30 for the balance of the year. Parking forms are available in the office. Please be aware that students will not be able to go out to their cars during the school day. They must remember to have everything with them when they enter the building in the morning.
Faculty Parking Lot
Please make sure you do not cut through the Faculty Parking Lot before or after school. The Faculty Parking Lot should not be used as a shortcut for safety reasons. Thank you!

Little Falcons Preschool
One of our staff members son is serving overseas and she reached out to collaborate with our Little Falcons Pre-K students. Our EEC students helped them create cards for the troops, they are so proud to be part of this special project. The children made handprint flags and heartfelt thank-you cards in honor of her son and all those who proudly serve in the military. It was a meaningful way for our class to show appreciation and kindness to those who serve our country.

Pettinato Named All-Scholastic
Junior Alexis Pettinato recently earned All-Scholastic honors from both the The Boston Globe and the Boston Herald, recognizing her outstanding performance during the girls ice hockey season. Alexis played a key role in the team’s impressive run in the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Division I Tournament, delivering a clutch overtime game-winning goal in the opening round against Bishop Fenwick High School. She followed that performance with a team-high two goals in a convincing 5–1 Sweet 16 victory over North Andover High School.
