Meet the teacher/Supply Drop Off - September 9th
DuJardin Elementary School will be hosting a Meet the Teacher/Supply Drop-Off event on Wednesday, September 9th, from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm for Kindergarten - 5th grade students. This is an opportunity for you and your child(ren) to come to DuJardin before school begins to 1) say hello to the teacher and 2) drop-off classroom supplies. We ask that parents or another adult accompany students to Meet the Teacher/Supply Drop-Off.
First Day of School (First - Fifth Grade): September 10th
We are so excited to welcome our 1st through 5th graders back for the first day of school on Thursday, September 10th!
To help capture those special first-day memories, our awesome PTO will have fun First Day of School photo signage set up outside. All grades will gather in the front of the building, where classroom teachers will be waiting outside at 8:25 AM to greet their new classes and kick off a wonderful school year. See you all soon!
First Day of School (Kindergarten): September 14th
Arrival
Please be aware that exterior construction on our new kindergarten classrooms and all-purpose room will be actively ongoing through February 2027. This means students will not be using the side blacktop space for arrival.
To ensure student safety while work is underway, students will line-up in the front of main office doors, beginning at 8:25 am. When the 8:25 AM bell rings, we will bring our kindergarten students into the building to wait in the lobby area. At 8:30 am, all first - fifth grade students will enter the building and proceed to their lockers to prepare for the school day.
New Blacktop Space
To ensure our students have room for outdoor play during construction, the district has added a brand-new Blacktop Space behind the school!
Because this space is smaller than our previous outdoor layout, it may not accommodate all grade levels simultaneously during recess times. As a result, grade levels may alternate between outdoor recess on the new blacktop and indoor recess activities, when necessary.
New Kindergarten Classroom
We are thrilled to share that indoor construction on our newly remodeled kindergarten classroom is officially complete! Our team has worked hard to create a bright, welcoming, and modern environment, and we cannot wait for our youngest Jaguars to move in, explore, and thrive in this upgraded learning space.
Dismissal
Dismissal for all students is at 3:30 PM. As we wrap up the school day, our primary goal is getting every child home safely.
We kindly ask all parents and guardians exercise patience and maintain extra awareness of your surroundings in the parking lot and drop-off loops during pick-up. With heavy traffic and active foot paths, taking a few extra moments to check for pedestrians and follow staff directions ensures a safe dismissal for our entire Jaguar community. Thank you for your partnership!
