Dear Ride Families,

As we move through this exciting season of learning, I want to pause and say how incredibly proud I am of our students. Their academic growth, perseverance, and positive attitudes shine every day. Thank you for partnering with RIDE to help develop kind, caring students who work hard and strive to excel in all areas—academically, socially, and emotionally. We truly could not do this work without your support and trust.

Join us for a free day of scientific discovery at Stockton Junior High School from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at 2750 Excellence Avenue, Conroe. This festival features hands-on science booths created by students for students, along with robotics and other demonstrations. A special thank you to our 4th grade teachers and students for representing Ride and leading our booth.

We are cheering on our amazing DI teams as they compete in the 2026 Destination Imagination Southeast 6 Regional Tournament on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at The Woodlands College Park High School. This event highlights creative, student-driven solutions, and we are so proud of the innovation, teamwork, and dedication our students continue to show. Best of luck—we’re proud of you!

Please remember that Friday, February 13, and Monday, February 16 are student holidays. There will be no school on these days. Enjoy your 4 day weekend!

Thank you again for being such an important part of our Ride community. We are grateful for you and excited to continue celebrating our students’ growth and success together.

Proud to serve the Ride Community,
Laura Collins & Angela Fonville

RideFest Information

RideFest is almost here, and we need our amazing Sally K. Ride families to help make it a success! Our event relies on generous donations from the community to build an incredible silent auction, and we’re also looking for underwriters to help cover event costs so that 100% of the proceeds can go directly back to support our school. If you or someone you know would like to contribute, no amount is too small — every donation makes a difference! Checks and donated items can be made out to the PTO. If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please email skrridefest@gmail.com.

RideFest March 28th

We’re counting down the days until RideFest on March 28th! Every game, activity, and sweet treat is made possible by the generosity of Sally K. Ride families and our community partners. When you donate, we’re able to offer more fun for everyone — and ensure 100% of proceeds go directly to supporting our school and students.

YOU too can be a part of the event! If you (or a company you know) are interested in sponsoring or underwriting an activity, reach out to skrridefest@gmail.com.

With gratitude, a special thanks you to:
Texas Remodel Team and Suzanne Ross Realtor for underwriting our Dunk Tanks
Inspectioneering for sponsoring the Treat Walk

We can’t wait to celebrate together!

Attendance Attendance

Current Attendance Rate 97.35%

Our 24–25 attendance rate was 95.48%, and we’re aiming even higher for 25–26 with a goal of 98%!

At Ride, we want all Challengers to Achieve. A huge part of student success is directly connected to strong attendance. Every day matters, and we want to make the most of every moment we have with our students.

Please help us by scheduling appointments after school whenever possible and ensuring students arrive on time and ready to learn each day. Together, we can help our Challengers reach their full potential!

All transportation changes must be received by 2:00 p.m. Please send all changes of transportation to ridetransportation@conroeisd.net. The e-mail must include the date, your child’s full name, homeroom teacher, bus number (if applicable), and the guardian's full name. All emails must be received before 2:00 p.m. If you submit a transportation change by email, it must go to the email address referenced above; transportation changes should not be emailed directly to the teacher. If an emergency arises, please contact 281-465-2800.

Please send a new email for each day the change occurs. We cannot accept notes for multiple days or with multiple changes. District policy states that a student may only ride the bus they are registered to ride; therefore, students may not have a transportation change to ride a different bus.

SCHOOL HOURS/ATTENDANCE/TARDY POLICY SCHOOL HOURS/ATTENDANCE/TARDY POLICY

User uploaded image
zoom_out_map

School hours are 7:55 a.m. - 3:10 p.m. Students must be in their classroom before the 7:55 a.m. bell rings, or they will be considered tardy. Please note that 7:30 a.m. is the earliest time that your child may be dropped off. We do not have staff available to supervise students until that time.

Attendance is vitally important to your child’s current educational growth and future development. Research confirms that attendance is one of the greatest factors contributing to student achievement. Please note that if your child comes in after 9:00 a.m., it will count as an absence unless your child has a medical appointment and brings in a school excuse from the doctor.

Tardy Policy

A student is tardy if not in the classroom at 7:55 a.m. If your child is tardy, parents must sign him/her in at the front office. When a student is tardy, an e-mail will be sent to the student’s guardian for notification.

BIRTHDAY TREAT GUIDELINES BIRTHDAY TREAT GUIDELINES

We love celebrating birthdays at school and welcome birthday treats! To ensure the safety and well-being of all students, we ask that families follow the guidelines outlined in the graphic. These guidelines help us manage allergies, classroom time, and school policies. Thank you for helping us make birthday celebrations safe and enjoyable for everyone!

LUNCH VISITOR INFORMATION LUNCH VISITOR INFORMATION

** Please consider limiting lunch visits to once or twice per month for each student, so that all parents have an opportunity to visit for lunch.

**Please limit the number of visitors to no more than two.

**Students may enjoy lunch with their parents/family only; please do not invite other students to eat lunch with your family.

**Please keep students and other children at the tables with you; do not allow them to run or play during lunch time.

NEW FOR 2025:

**We want to ensure the safety and security of everyone as they enjoy time together while visiting at lunch. If a grandparent or other family member wants to visit your child during lunch, the parent must send in written permission to the front office. The note will only need to be sent in once per school year, and at that time a notation will be made in the visitor system so that the school will have a record of the permission being granted. If a note is not sent, we will call a parent to grant permission before the visitor is allowed to join a student for lunch. Notes can be sent to: cvanloh@conroeisd.net
