Keep up the great work, Chiefs! Every day counts toward attendance and success!
Chief Cheers
We love catching our students in the act of showing our core values: Respect, Responsibility, Citizenship, and Communication. When someone goes above and beyond, they earn a Chief Cheer for being an amazing role model!
This week, a student was caught showing outstanding Respect: 🎉 1st Grader – Blaine A.

Halloween Expectations and Guidelines to follow for Friday, October 31st
Costume FYI as you may start preparing for the Holiday:
All students are welcome to wear or bring their costume on Friday, October 31st.
We plan to do a school wide parade either through the hallways or outside (weather pending) to showcase our holiday spirit towards the end of the school day.
There are two options when thinking about your student and their costume on 10/31.
1. Your student can wear their costume to school. This option would mean they are able to use the restroom on their own, without any zipper or assistance, when needing to go. They are still able to learn and complete work as needed in their costume.
2. Your student can bring their costume. If your student brings their costume, there will be time dedicated before the school parade for them to change into. This option would only be doable if your student is able to dress themselves into their own costume independently.
General MVR3 Guidelines to be aware of and follow:
-No weapon or toys/accessories
-No face paint or masks
-No Inflatable costumes (these are unsafe in a school setting, causing a tripping hazard along with other worries)
-No scary or gory like costumes

From me to you...
Dear Zitzman Families,
As the pace of fall picks up, it’s easy to get swept into the busyness of school days, practices, and packed calendars. But one of the things I love most about this season is how it invites us to pause — to slow down just long enough to really see and enjoy the people who matter most.
This weekend and into next week, I hope each of our Zitzman families finds a few moments to reconnect — whether it’s sharing a meal, taking a walk, playing a game, or simply talking about the best part of each day. Those small moments of togetherness create the sense of belonging that we work so hard to nurture here at school.
At Zitzman, we talk a lot about rising up and shining on — but that light begins at home. Thank you for all the ways you model kindness, encouragement, and love for your children. It truly shows in the way they shine here each day.
Leading & learning,
Dr. Sladek
