April 2025
Happy Thursday, Team TPS!
We made it! This day has arrived like a welcome breeze at mile 20 of the school year marathon—and what’s even better? It’s the start of a long weekend and April break! Whether you're a student, staff member, or superhero parent, this pause in our regularly scheduled programming couldn’t be more deserved.
The last couple of weeks have been nothing short of amazing—literally. We kicked things off with a National Honor Society Induction Ceremony, Grade 4 Wax Museum, Grade 2, 3, & 4 STEAM Nights, 8th Grade Science Fair Expo, Best Day Ever Fundraiser Field Day, and an 8th Grade Genius Hour Fair. The Spring truly showcases students and teachers hard work and amazing work effort.
At the School Committee meeting on April 16th, we also shared 2 exciting announcements.
We shared that our new Heath Brook Principal is Meghan Corcoran, who will be coming on board on July 1, 2025. We are planning a meet and greet with her before our next School Committee meeting (details to follow).
Mark your calendars: the official last day of school is Tuesday, June 17, 2025, and yes, it’s an early release day.
Now, let’s talk about this glorious break. We’ve powered through three intense quarters, and while the finish line is in sight, there’s still a stretch ahead. This time off is your pit stop—your chance to rest, refuel, and recharge.
Students, enjoy the well-earned downtime.
Parents and guardians, may this break offer you a little breathing room.
Educators and staff, thank you for your relentless dedication and care.
Wishing you all a joyful, restful, and safe long weekend and April vacation. And to our Boston Marathon runners—here’s a little paraphrased Irish Blessing: ”may the wind be at your back and the finish line come quickly!” (author unknown).
Sincerely,
Brenda Theriault-Regan
