The Lion's Roar
May 4, 2026
Dear families,
Last week we celebrated Earth Day with our annual Trashion and Innovention Show and we had an amazing audience to watch our students on the Lunenburg Recycled Runway (see the pictures below). Thank you to everyone who attended this incredible event and kudos to Mrs. Lawson for making this day so exciting!
This week is Staff Appreciation Week and we hope that you’ll join us in celebrating our incredible people. Each day we will provide breakfast, lunch, and/or snacks to everyone in the building. If you’d like to help, please call Mrs. MacQueen or Mrs. Richardson.
Friday is an early release day and students are welcome to stay until 3:00 pm. Reach out to Olivia Cate (ocate@kingdomeast.org) if you’re interested in registering.
We have several trips and activities planned for the remainder of the year–please check the Important Dates at the bottom of the newsletter for more information. As always, reach out if need anything!
With love and gratitude,
Mrs. MacQueen

Kingdom East School Meals Program
School Meals
The Kingdom East School District provides several opportunities for students to access healthy and nutritional food before, during, and after school. Dependent on federal grant funding, pre K-8th grade students receive fresh fruit and veggie snacks during the week, and students up to age 18 who stay after school receive a free after school supper. Breakfasts and lunches are free this year for all students. The Abbey Food Service Group currently provides delicious, nutritious, and high quality meals to students and staff.
Even though meals are now free to all students, our schools still need to gather household income data. Help us provide the best education possible for your children. Filling out this form only takes a few minutes. It will help your community, your school and your property taxes. The information you give helps your school access federal and state education dollars. This funding supports reading, math, science, arts, PE, afterschool and other vital programming. 2025-2026 Household Income Form
