Welcome to another exciting year at FHUMHS! We are thrilled to welcome EVERYONE (7-12) back on August 30th! As the new academic year begins, we are filled with enthusiasm and determination to make this a year of growth, learning, and accomplishments. Our dedicated staff has been working diligently throughout the summer to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for all our students. Below you will find helpful information for the kickoff of our 2023-2024 school year:
**Upcoming Events 📅**
1. Middle School Open House (August 28th at 5:30 pm): We invite all parents and guardians to meet the teachers and learn more about the curriculum and expectations for the year ahead. It's a great opportunity to get involved in your child's education.
2. High School Open House (September 28th at 5:45 pm): We hold our high school open house later than the middle school to give students the opportunity to acclimate to their new classes. You are invited to come to meet teachers and walk through a shortened schedule so you may experience "a day in the life" of your child's school experience.
3. Middle School Rafting Trip (September 14th and 15th): Students will be participating in the annual rafting trip to help build strong friendships and positive team dynamics. More information will be coming home as the date gets closer.
4. Picture Day: Our student picture day will be held on September 1st!
5. Athletic Opener Meeting (August 30th at 5:30): Come learn about FHU Athletic opportunities. This meeting will be held in the high school gymnasium.

**Important Reminders 📢**
1. Timely Attendance: Punctuality is essential for a successful academic experience. Please ensure your child arrives on time each day. Our doors are open by 7:45 am. Students must be here no later than 8:07 am (so they can be in class by 8:10 am). School ends at 3:15 pm. Please refer to the lin at the bottom of the newsletter for a map of the parent drop-off and pick-up procedures.
2. Safety Measures: Safety is always our top priority. We will share information throughout the school year regarding our drills and the implementation of various safety protocols to protect the well-being of our students and staff.
3. The "Summer Mailing" went out on August 8th. Please review all materials and complete any necessary paperwork and either return them by mail or have your child return them to their Advisory teacher on the first day.

We are excited about the upcoming school year and the opportunities it presents for academic and personal growth. Together, as a strong school community, we can make this year a memorable and successful one for everyone involved.
