A Message from Mrs. Albright
Friday, October 2, 2026
We've had a wonderful week at Yorkshire! We celebrated all of the learning and growing by gathering for our monthly pep rally. Students cheered on their classmates, sang, and danced. Also, we are excited to announce the launch of our Bus Ambassador program this week! Students were nominated by their teachers for demonstrating outstanding leadership and positive character. In their new roles, these student leaders will help set a great example for their peers and ensure a safe, respectful, and welcoming ride for everyone on the bus.
Please remain in your vehicles until 3:35 PM to allow our students to safely clear the playground and enter the building from recess. As always, student safety is our top priority, so please exercise extra caution and drive slowly when navigating through the parking lots. Additionally, we ask that all families use designated, official parking spots rather than stopping along the curbs or in driving lanes when parking in the back parking lot.
Just a reminder, you're invited to join us for our beloved annual Teddy Bear Parade on October 8! Show off your school spirit by wearing your brightest orange and black, bringing cheerful signs of encouragement, and making plenty of noise as you cheer on our students. Your vibrant energy from the sidelines makes this event truly magical for our kids, and we can’t wait to celebrate together as a community! Please see the flyer below for more information.
We can't wait to see you at Family-Teacher conferences on Thursday and Friday. We look forward to sharing with you the progress your child has made so far this year and goals for the upcoming months. Thank you for taking time to collaborate with us.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend making memories together!

Throughout the month of October we are going to focus on responsibility. Being responsible means you can be trusted to do what you are supposed to do. In the classroom, you show responsibility by taking care of your books and supplies, making sure your desk is tidy, and always turning in your homework. In our community, you are responsible when you help with chores at home, take care of your toys, and keep your neighborhood clean by putting trash in the trash can. When you are responsible, everyone knows they can count on you.
Exciting Volunteer Opportunity
We need volunteers to present Junior Achievement programs in our classrooms.
For as little as an hour a week (5 visits), you can make a difference in the lives of young people in your community. JA programs provide important life skills through hands-on educational activities focusing on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness.
Our programs empower students to make a connection between what they learn in school and real world applications, enhancing the relevance of their classroom learning and increasing their understanding of the value of staying in school.
