6th Grade Science Field Trip

Each student will come to school at the normal time. Each student will go to 1st period as normal on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

We depart Arcade Middle School at 9:00 AM and we will return at 1:30 PM.

• Refillable water bottle
  
• Sack lunch or $ for the Food Court (a sack school lunch will be provided, but you may bring your own should you wish)
• Wear warm comfortable clothing and shoes
• All their curiosity!!!

• Toys, slime, gum, or items that may get lost
  

To effectively chaperone a field trip using a "pod" of adults (spaced at the front, middle, and back), you should strategically position chaperones to ensure continuous supervision, safety, and pace management. This "sandwiched" approach, where adults act as anchors, ensures the group stays together, prevents gaps from forming, and allows for rapid, consistent, and safe movement of students, especially when traveling between sites.

If you would like to be considered for a chaperone role, please complete the following:

1. Complete volunteer form
2. Get fingerprinted (make an appointment here)
3. Fill out this interest form

If you are selected to be a chaperone for the 3/10/2026 field trip, a member of the 6th Grade Team will notify you using the email you've provided in the interest form.

Volunteers must:

• Be fingerprinted: appointments available at www.sanjuan.edu/fingerprint
• Bring a fingerprint authorization form & govt issued photo ID to fingerprinting appointment
