CME PTO Weekly

Halloween Parade
Get ready to celebrate Halloween at CME next Friday, October 30th! You can send your child to school in their costume, and then stick around to watch a parade around the school (indoors if it’s freezing), starting at 9:30. Class parties will follow, likely from 9:45-10:45, and your teacher will send out more details soon. Please be available to help your child out of their costume after the party, or make sure that they can do it themselves. We can’t wait to see everybody dressed up!!
WERK For Your Teacher Week With Spenga!
For the rest of this week, Copper Mesa parents, family members, and friends are invited to attend your first SPENGA workout for FREE! When you come in, you can tell the front desk which Copper Mesa teacher you're supporting.
At the end of the week:
🏆 The teacher with the most supporters will receive $100 to use for themselves or their classroom.
💚 SPENGA will donate $10 for every new guest who attends (up to $300) directly to the Copper Mesa PTO
If you are a current SPENGA member, or you've taken a class before, you can still participate in supporting a teacher that week!
If you are unfamiliar with SPENGA, it's a great 60 minute workout that incorporates 20 minutes each of SPin, strENgth, and yoGA. It's a great workout that you can take at your own pace, in a fun, motivating environment. Why not give it a try for FREE (sign up HERE), support CME and try to get $100 for your teacher? 💚💛
Son Event - November 7th
Tickets are on sale now for the Son Event on November 7th! We will be welcoming Nerf Turf to Copper Mesa, a company that facilitates fun and safe nerf wars inside the school, from 4-6pm. Tickets are $20 for the first son/parent pair, and $10 per additional son or parent. Boys must be 5 years old to participate. There will be a food truck to enjoy afterwards, if you’d like to stay and hang a little longer (we are working on selecting a good one!). Tickets are now available via MySchoolBucks (click HERE)!
Suburban Girl Boutique Private Shopping Event - November 12th
If you haven't met Brooke Kerzic, a local Firelight neighbor, yet - you need to! She runs a small boutique out of her basement, called Suburban Girl Boutique, and she has offered to host a private shopping party for 30 CME parents, and even donate 10% of the proceeds back to the PTO! She has such cute pieces, and an incredible eye for style, so she can keep you find what will look great on you for the upcoming holiday events, or help you find the perfect gift for someone else! Since the party will take place in her home, we will limit it to 30 people, so RSVP HERE if you want to join us on November 12th, from 5-8pm. Nibbles and drinks will be supplied, and so much fun and fashion will be had!
Chick-Fil-A Calendars
If you need a unique gift idea for a Chick-Fil-A lover in your life, we are trying a new fundraiser this year! You can grab one of these calendars for $15, with $40 worth of coupons inside - you get a QR code for something FREE each month! We will be selling these through January, and they won’t even go on sale to the public until November, so grab one early! You can purchase HERE and we will email you when they have arrived for pickup in the office. Happy Chick-Fil-A-ing!
Crossing Guard Sign Up
Tired of the erractic driving around the school during afternoon pick up? Now's your time to shine! We're looking for parent helpers to assist the crossing guards at the intersection of Poston and Windridge.
You get your choice of a vest or if you really want to have fun you can wear the traffic cone costume! Sign up HERE
Spirit Rock Painting
We have opened up some more dates for early 2027 to reserve the Spirit Rock, so be sure to check out the sign up HERE!
Have you noticed some of the INCREDIBLE paintings recently? Many people have made the smart choice to hire Nick Roosen, a local photographer and graphic artist, and he does an amazing job! He's also one of our Silver Sponsors this year! If you want to contact him about painting your next rock, email him at info@nickroosenphoto.com.
KING SOOPERS CARDS
One of our biggest and easiest fundraisers has proven to be King Soopers Cards. In just over a year our total donation received is in excess of $15,000. If you haven’t registered your rewards number (phone number) yet, please do so, it’s quick and easy and a great way to earn funds for our school. This money helps us to pay for teacher and school grants and host some of our events.

The purpose of the program:
- To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is essential.
- To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. All dads are encouraged to be a Watch D.O.G.S. Dad at least once a year.
