Friday Updates

Dear SHS Families,

This week, we saw the end of April and the beginning of our final month together for the 2026-2027 school year. It is fun to see culminating projects and lessons begin to come together to showcase all of the amazing learning this year. Some highlights of those will be the 2nd-grade Landforms Project, which will be on display and presented in the Parish Hall, and the storybook publication party held by the 1st graders, both on Wednesday, May 6th. On Wednesday, we will also be attending the Franklin County Lit Festival, where our 3rd through 6th graders will go and meet authors and hear about their works.

With May also being the month of Mary, we will be venerating her on Thursday, May 7th, by presenting her statue with flowers at the beginning of Mass. We would also like to acknowledge all of the Moms and mother figures of our community by inviting them to Mass, sitting with their students, and staying afterwards for our annual Muffins with Mom’s reception. We are one short week away from the BASH, and I would like to thank all community for their donations and all the behind-the-scenes work done to make this event happen. If you do not have tickets or do not plan on attending, I recommend getting an online ticket to bid on all the great items in this year’s silent auction.

A week from Tuesday, May 12th, will be our spring music concert at the OMA beginning at 6:30 pm. This year, we will be paying tribute to our Veterans, and we would like to extend the invitation for you to invite the veterans in your life to be honoured as a part of this year’s show. We ask that performers arrive 15 minutes early to get ready.
