Upcoming Events
Join us for some autumn fun! 🍁
MHMC is hosting a Pumpkin Carving on October 25th from 4PM to 6PM at the Maple Hills Firehouse.
Here’s the plan:
🎃 BYO Pumpkin! Bring your own pumpkin to carve. We have some tools, but please bring your own if you have them.
🍪 Potluck! Please bring a snack or drink to share with your neighbors.
👻 Costume Exchange! Have old costumes or need a new one? Check out our Costume Closet in the meeting room. Trade or take a new-to-you outfit for Halloween!
This is a great chance to hang out, listen to some music, and get into the Halloween spirit with your community. We hope to see you there!
Please let us know you're coming so we can set up enough space, but walk-ins are always welcome! Rain or shine!
Craft Night - October
🗓 When: 1st Wednesday of the month | October 7 (Add to your calendar)
🕕 Time: 6:00PM - 8:00PM
📍 Where: Maple Hills Firehouse, 20505 SE 152nd St, Renton, WA 98059
October Craft | Choose Your Adventure
We will have a number of supplies from crafts that we did over the summer.
You are also welcome to bring your own craft and join us for a chat and a glass.
Craft Night is just for adults—it's a chance for crafters to unwind, connect, and build community without the little ones. We love creating opportunities for everyone, and this one is all about giving grown-ups some time to relax and enjoy crafting together.
Let’s make it fun, friendly, and full of inspiration—hope to see you there! 🎉
Community Shout-Outs!
🏊♀️ A Big Maple Hills Pool Season Shout-Out! 💙
A huge THANK YOU to Greg Smith and Greta Martin for helping our Pool Manager, Amanda Williams, with this year’s pool cleanup! They helped get everything put away for the season — all the chairs are stored, along with the pool toys, supplies, and equipment. We truly appreciate you lending a hand and helping us get the pool buttoned up for the year!
And an extra-special shout-out to Amanda Williams, our amazing Pool Manager! Amanda does so much more than simply keep the pool running. Throughout the season, she was always looking for ways to make the pool a fun and welcoming place for our community.
Amanda partnered with the Marlins Swim Team, who call the Maple Hills pool home, and helped make the pool a hub of activity all summer. She hosted a Teen Movie Night with more than 60 kids, organized a Toddler Swim Day, kept the Mini Marlins program going, and connected us with some fantastic instructors for Zumba and Aqua Belly Dance. Later in the summer, she also opened the Snack Shack, giving everyone another fun way to enjoy the pool.
Behind the scenes, Amanda keeps track of the countless details it takes to operate the pool — from staffing and supplies to equipment, maintenance, programming, and everything in between. And she is always looking for the next fun idea or activity to bring to the pool.
We also want to thank our entire Maple Hills community, as well as our outside pool members, for making this such a great season. Your participation, support, and enthusiasm are what make our pool such a special part of Maple Hills.
Thank you, Amanda, Greg, Greta, our pool staff, our members, and everyone who helped make another pool season one to remember! 💙🏊♀️☀️

🏓 Sunday Pickleball Drop-In
Sundays at 3:00 PM • Maple Hills Tennis Courts
Weather permitting
Have you been curious about pickleball but never quite figured out how to get started? Or maybe you already play and would love to have some neighbors to play with?
We’re starting a casual Sunday Pickleball Drop-In at the neighborhood tennis courts!
The courts already have pickleball lines painted on them, so now we just need to put them to good use. This is a come-as-you-are, beginner-friendly, no-pressure opportunity to learn, play, and meet some neighbors.
Never played before? Come learn with us!
Already know how to play? Come help us beginners figure out what we’re doing!
Somewhere in between? Perfect.
There’s no competition, no teams, and no need to be an expert. Just bring a paddle if you have one, a few pickleballs if you have them, and a willingness to have some fun.
And if you're wondering whether this is the right activity for you, let’s just say… some of us are hoping pickleball will be a little more forgiving than tennis. 😂
📅 Every Sunday
⏰ 3:00 PM
📍 Maple Hills Tennis Courts
☀️ Weather permitting
Come for a game, stay for the laughs, and let’s see if we can get a little Maple Hills pickleball crew going!
🏓 Beginners welcome! Everyone is encouraged to join us. ❤️
Santa Wanted!
🎅 Santa Needed for the Maple Hills Santa Breakfast! 🎄
We’re in desperate need of a Santa!
The Maple Hills Santa Breakfast is coming up, and we need a special volunteer to help make the morning magical for our Maple Hills families. ❤️
We’re looking for someone who can step into the role of Santa Claus for the event—bring the smiles, pose for photos, visit with the kids, and help create those wonderful holiday memories our community looks forward to each year.
You don’t need to be a professional Santa—just someone who loves kids, enjoys spreading holiday cheer, and is willing to wear the suit and play the part!
No Costume? No Problem! We got the threads!
🎅 Can you help?
If you’re interested in volunteering as Santa, please reach out to the Maple Hills event organizers as soon as possible.
Know someone who would make a great Santa? Tag them, share this post, or send them our way!
Let’s make sure Santa makes it to Maple Hills this year! 🎄🎅❤️
Food Truck Schedule
We are working hard to get a couple of food trucks scheduled for October.
Food Truck Information
The neighborhood food trucks are coordinated by community volunteers and are not under contract with the HOA. Trucks may arrive anytime between 4:30–5:00 PM and typically begin serving shortly after arrival.
While we do our best to share truck details and menus in advance, information is not always available prior to the event. In addition, because trucks are independently operated businesses, there may occasionally be unexpected cancellations or schedule changes.
We appreciate your understanding and support as our volunteers work to bring fun and variety to the neighborhood food truck nights!
Free Gentle Yoga
🧘♀️ Free Community Yin Yoga
Join me Sunday evenings at 7:00 PM at the Maple Hills Firehouse for a relaxing Yin Yoga practice.
Dates: October 11, 18 & 25th(Yoga Nidra) (Add to your calendar)
Each class includes:
- 15-minute gentle warm-up
- 45-minute Yin Yoga practice
Please bring: Your own yoga mat, towel, and any bolsters or blankets you'd like to use. (Blocks will be available to borrow.)
A signed waiver is required before your first class.
This class is free—I'm donating my time to share the benefits of yoga with our community.
Attendance through October will help determine whether classes continue in August. I hope to see you there!
