Power Notes
Spring Break Edition
Let's Break to Rejuvenate
Hello Families,
Thank you for rolling with us through the final phases of winter. March can be an extremely difficult month at school for students and staff. It's a really long month and the weather/lack of sunshine has had its effects on all of us. At CRMS we have really been working to provide structures and routines that could re-focus students on their academics and behaviors while at school.
Spring Break is a time where our staff, students and families can take a moment to breathe a little. The majority of the school year has been completed and there's only the 4th quarter to go. Weather will become warmer and allow for students and adults to get some fresh air and to do some activities that we all enjoyed to start the school year such as, outdoor eating during lunch time. In addition, teachers have class outdoors, PE can go back outside, and in general, we all just feel better.
We will continue to work with students and recognize students who are doing a good job using PBIS incentives. We have planned a re-match Pep Rally, and our finale, a Parking Lot PBIS party (late May). Even the 6th grade has their own grade-wide incentive program taking place to help re-shape and recognize the positive behaviors for those who are demonstrating our POWER principles of Kindness, Bravery, and Knowledge.
Our school counselors, administrators, and school committees are working extremely hard to ensure that students social needs and other challenges are met. Middle School is a wacky time--everyday is a new day and we are all here to help these students learn and grow.
Take Care. Be Well.

Testing Best Practices and Reminders
2. Make sure students charge their laptops overnight. There are not charging stations for them to use during testing.
3. A good night's sleep is always helpful.
4. Encourage your child to eat a good breakfast before testing. A hungry tummy can be a distraction to a student while testing.
Practicing these basic routines will help your student perform to their best.
Update your basic information through Powerschool all year!!
