Professional Learning: Creative Culture Consulting
District 211 Strategic Plan Priority 2 emphasizes ensuring all students demonstrate academic growth. Indicator 2.1 specifically focuses on supporting students in achieving proficiency on course Critical Learning Standards. To align with this objective, the District has implemented the co-teaching instructional framework on a limited basis, primarily within developmental courses. Traditionally, co-teaching in District 211 has involved two educators collaborating in the same classroom, with one serving as the lead teacher or content expert and the other providing instructional support, including behavior management and adapting instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
The Board approved an agreement with Creative Culture Consulting to provide up to four days of summer consultation in preparation for the 2025–2026 school year, and up to 42 days of classroom-based coaching across the District’s 136 co-taught course sections at a total cost of $167,900. This initiative will be funded through the professional development allocation of the IDEA grant.
