Note from Dr. Jennifer Coggin
Remind App
In the event of a schedule change (closure, delayed start, or early dismissal) or an emergency situation, we will notify parents as soon as possible via email and the Remind app. If you haven't signed up for Remind notifications yet, please follow the instructions below. Parents with multiple students only need to join one group - all groups receive identical communications simultaneously.
- To join the ELC notification list: text @26f23d to the number 81010
- To join the K-5 notification list: text @4fc467 to the number 81010
- To join the 6-8 notification list: text @he3acac to the number 81010
We only use Remind for urgent, time-sensitive alerts.
Lost ELC Key Cards
If you lose one or both of your key cards, please notify the ELC office staff right away so we can deactivate the card’s building access. If the card is later found, we can easily reactivate it—there’s no need to purchase a replacement.
For the safety and security of our ELC, it’s important that we know where all active key cards are at all times. Thank you for helping us keep our students, families, and staff safe!
2026-2027 Annual Parent Night
We are excited to welcome all ELC-8th grade families to our Annual Parent Night on Wednesday, August 19, at 6:30 p.m. This was previously scheduled for August 26.
This evening is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a school community as we prepare for the new school year. We will share important information for the year ahead, highlight insights and improvements made in response to last year's parent survey, and discuss the vision for St. John's School and the direction we are heading as we continue to grow and strengthen our mission to Grow, Excel, Thrive.
Whether you are new to St. John's or a returning family, Parent Night is an important opportunity to stay informed, ask questions, and partner with us in making this a successful school year for every student.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Wash Park Bioblitz
FANS (Friends and Neighbors of Washington Park) is holding a bioblitz on August 19th in Washington Park's Big Garden from 8:30 to 9:30am. Discover our invertebrate pollinators, birds and more! The garden is one of two beautiful native plant gardens in the park that support our native pollinators. Dr. Julie Morris, DU professor, will be joining us. She brings nets and tools for viewing native pollinators that we will catch. Enjoy a lovely morning in the garden while observing nature and contributing important observations to iNaturalist.
Would your preschoolers like to join in? If so please let jennifer.coggin@sjdenver.org know so she can give the Biologist an idea of how many of our students will come. More Info.
