Dear Parents and guardians,

This week was such a wonderful week, our WAVE honor choir students performed at WESTY. Our level 4 and 5 students went to the Rockies on a field trip. Our level 6 students went to outdoor ed and created lifelong memories. We hope to see you at celebrating excellence on Saturday, full details below.

Celebrating Our Graduates: Spring 2026 Continuation Schedule

It’s hard to believe, but the end of the school year is nearly here! We are so excited to celebrate the growth and achievements of our students as they prepare to move on to their next big adventures.

Please join us on Friday, May 22, 2026, in the UNION Gym for our Spring Continuations. To ensure every student is properly recognized, we have scheduled the ceremonies as follows:

Preschool Continuation: 9:00 AM
Kindergarten Continuation: 10:00 AM
8th Grade Continuation: 2:00 PM

Important Note for Families: All ceremonies will be held in the UNION Gym. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to find seating. We look forward to seeing our families come together to cheer on our Preschoolers, Kinders, and promoting 8th Graders! If you would like siblings to attend, you must sign them out at the respective office prior to the continuation and bring them with you, we will not be able to transport students to ceremonies.

Awards Assemblies — May 27, 2026

Please mark your calendars for our upcoming Awards Assemblies. This is a special time for our community to gather and celebrate the successes of the 2025-2026 school year.

9:30 AM | Levels 6 & 7 (Union Students): Ceremony held at the Union campus.
10:05 AM | Levels 1–5 (Irving Students): Ceremony held at the Union campus.

🎒 Is Your Child’s Favorite Hoodie Missing in Action?

We’ve noticed the Lost & Found bins are looking a little… crowded. From lonely lunchboxes to those "must-have" winter coats, your child’s missing gear is likely waiting for a reunion!

Before these items head off to a new home, please take a moment to swing by and claim what’s yours.

📍 Where to Look

Irving Gym: Open for a quick scout before school.
Union Gym: Open for a sweep before school.
After School: Both locations are accessible for a final check once the bell rings.

⚠️ The Final Countdown

Don't let that expensive fleece disappear! All unclaimed items will be donated to charity the moment summer break officially begins.

Pro Tip: If your child "swears" they didn't lose it, check anyway—you’d be surprised what turns up in the Irving and Union gyms!

Office Pick-Up Policy: End-of-Day Procedures

As a courtesy to our office staff, please ensure all early student pick-ups are completed prior to 1:00 PM on Mondays or prior to 3:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday.

The front office becomes exceptionally busy at the end of the day as we prepare for dismissal. If you are unable to arrive before these cutoff times, we kindly ask that you wait until Driveline to pick up your student. Thank you for your cooperation in helping our dismissal process run safely and efficiently!

CMAS Cinema May 1st

🍿 Coming Soon: STEM CMAS Cinema Day! 🎬

Lights, camera, action! To celebrate our students' hard work and focus during CMAS testing, we are turning STEM into a multi-screen cinema on Friday, May 1st!

It’s a "choose your own adventure" afternoon. Each team of teachers will be hosting a different movie, and students get the star treatment by picking the "theater" (classroom) they want to attend.

The Full Experience:

The Box Office: Students will browse the lineup of animated classics, new releases, and fan favorites.
Concessions: Before the opening credits roll, students will head to our concession stand to trade in their CMAS Cash for their favorite movie snacks.
Showtime: Once the snacks are secured, it’s off to the theaters to relax and enjoy the show with their friends.

We are so proud of the effort our students have put in lately, and we can’t wait to celebrate their success with a day at the movies!

PTA Update

With the uncertainty and delay of SNAP benefits, the Colorado STEM Academy community is coming together to build meal bags for students that may be experiencing food insecurity. Parent volunteers will purchase items, make the bags and deliver them to the school. Meal bags will supplement the Food for Thought program already handing out food bags. Please consider making a donation, big or small,to support our community!

Student & Staff Celebrations

🎤✨ Celebrating Student Talent & Achievement! 📚🐝

Big Cheers for Our Award-Winning Staff! 🌟

We are absolutely bursting with pride to share that our very own Caitlyn Beckman (Level 5) has been named the District Teacher of the Year! This is a massive achievement and a true reflection of the heart, expertise, and dedication Caitlyn pours into her classroom every single day. She has a unique gift for reaching her students and inspiring those of us who work alongside her. If you see her in the halls, please give her a well-deserved "High Five!"

We also want to give a special shout-out to Cheyenne Stock, who was our Staff Member of the Month for March. Cheyenne has been an incredible asset to our team, consistently going above and beyond to support both students and staff with a positive attitude. We truly enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate her hard work and the "extra mile" she runs for our school community.
