We're thrilled to announce that this year's Swim-a-Thon was a success! Thanks to the incredible support from our swimmers, families, and community, we met our team goal!
A special shout out to the 54% of swimmers who showed up on the day of the event — your energy made it a fun and spirited day. Even more inspiring, 59% of our swimmers contributed donations, helping us reach our fundraising target and support our cause.
Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and cheered us on. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Hello NOVA Families!
Lots to report from our last update but first I want to thank all participants in last weekend’s Freedom Splash meet. We hosted 1076 athletes over a long 2.5 day meet that put our first floor capacity to the test. I look forward to never sending a “crowded meet” email again! Thank you all for your flexibility and support over the weekend.
The big news… we have broken through the second floor walls!!! EDC has started punching out windows and HVAC duct work on either side of the scoreboard and it is a great sight to see. As one who took a peak from the new windows at our Concessions area, the view will blow you away!
Here are some other quick updates:
Lots of work from the subcontractor front!
Walls: Framing has been completed and drywall has gone up through the space giving true definition to our future 2nd floor!
Plumbing / Electrical / Fire Sprinkler / HVAC: Work continues throughout the second floor in all these systems!
It is really hard to visualize this update since so much of the work is happening behind the walls. We hope to see all of NOVA at our Wall Breaking event June 5th from 12:00 - 1:00pm. Come out for a tour!
2nd Floor New Amenity Spotlight: STAIRS x2!!!
We will be adding 2 new sets of stairs linking the first and second floors. 1 will be in the Lobby to ensure access to the Community Room and Virginia Swim Shop (more to come!) and the 2nd stair will be located outside of the Regency Coach’s Office door where the bleachers are currently located.
In the coming weeks, portions of the Regency Alumni Lobby will be temporarily closed for a month as construction and demolition will begin on Stair 1.
Thanks for reading,
Drew
