Staff Member Spotlight
Mrs. Wehner-Junior High Administrative Assistant
My husband, Joe and I have been together for 37 years. We started dating at the age of 15, dated 11 years, got engaged, and will be married for 26 years in November. We have two girls Allison (23) and Kelly (19), both of which attended PG from kindergarten through 8th grade.
2. What is something that makes you really proud?
Seeing my girls grow up and become the individuals they are. Allison graduated with
honors in May from UWM - with a Bachelors of Architecture degree. She is currently
working at an architectural firm in Milwaukee. Kelly is starting her sophomore year at
NIU in the honors program, on a pre-med track. Kelly would like to be a pediatrician.
3. What is your favorite hobby?
My favorite hobby is going camping with my family and friends. We travel with our
camper and like to visit the national parks. I like hiking and kayaking. I also like to do
crafts.
4. What is your favorite food?
Pasta - some favorites are shrimp linguine and beef stroganoff.
5. What is something you have learned lately?
Life will always throw you challenges. But with the support of friends or a good work
team, and being open minded, anything can be accomplished.
Fun fact - the average cloud weighs over one million pounds. :)
6. If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
A moose or black bear. They both are known for their strength, resilience, ability to
adapt and a protector.
7. What is your favorite thing about Prairie Grove?
This will be my 11th year working at PG and the sense of being part of a family is what
makes PG special. Everyone supports each other, and does whatever it takes to give the
students the best educational experience possible.
Missy Klimkowski - Elementary Administrative Assistant
