Monday Message from Ms. Grace
El mensaje del lunes de Ms. Grace
Dear La Escuela Fratney Families,
Welcome to this week’s Monday Message. This is Ms. Grace, your Parent Coordinator.
We are excited to host our Fratney Family Movie Night this Friday at 5:00 p.m. in the school gym. All families are invited to join us for a showing of Zootopia and a fun community evening. If you are able, we kindly ask for donations of items such as chips or cookies to help with our fundraising efforts. Families may also volunteer an hour or two to help with set-up, selling snacks, or clean-up. Please review the paper flyer going home in your child’s folder today. You may RSVP on the flyer or electronically through the links included in this Monday Message.
We also want to remind families that our School Engagement Council Meeting will take place Tuesday evening from 5:00–6:00 p.m. in the library. This meeting was moved to Tuesday due to Wednesday’s early release day.
On Wednesday, students will be dismissed at 2:15 p.m. Buses will run on their normal routes but two hours earlier than usual. Please plan accordingly to pick up your child from school at 2:15 p.m. or meet them at their bus stop two hours earlier. There will be no AM or PM CLC on Wednesday.
This week we are continuing both our Spanish literacy assessments and English language testing, so it is very important that all students attend school every day and arrive on time. Our 4th graders will take a field trip to the Art Museum on Thursday. Please make sure they have a signed permission slip. Throughout December, classes have the opportunity to win movie tickets for strong attendance. Any class with 95% attendance or higher will earn special incentives on Friday, December 19th.Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We appreciate everything our families do to help our students succeed!
Warmly,
Ms. Grace
Parent Coordinator, La Escuela Fratney
Sra. Grace

There will be one calendar for the whole district again this year. Please review this calendar before making plans for trips or vacations. Students must be in school 95% of the time or more which means they can only miss 1 day a month the whole school year. Students who miss more than 10 days of school a year fall behind academically and socially. Make a plan now to be in school every day on time.
